Tamashii Nations Bandai Meisho Movie Realization AKAZONAE Royal Guard Action Figure

Oooh boy is this one sexy action figure! That bright blood red pop of color, that cyclops stare, the visual aesthetics here are undeniably eye catching. Yet again, Bandai's Tamashii Nations Meisho Movie Realization line delivers the goods with this Akazonae Royal Guard. I think this might be their best work yet! I had some qc issues with my Movie Realization Boba Fett but am glad to report that I've had no issues with this bad boy whatsoever! So here's what's in the box with the figure; force pike, katana and sheath (that hooks to belt, like we've seen with previously released figures in this line), a front robe piece that pegs onto the front armor chest plate (the Imperial insignia pops right out and you peg the robe right in, easy as pie) fists L/R, sword holding hands L/R, force pike holding hands L/R. Not a bunch of accessories, but all the ones you need. It's not like we ever saw these guys with anything else, we only ever saw them in Jedi and never even really got that good a look at them. Maybe because of that or just how cool and imposing they look, the Emperor's Royal Guard has been mine and my friend Jon's favorite Imperial class, and rarely gets the kind of treatment other Imperial classes like Stormtroopers or Snowtroopers get on the merchandising front. So it's really cool to get a good, 6" scale Royal Guard, especially in this Edo Japanese Movie Realization style that fits so well in the Star Wars universe. Vader and the Stormtrooper fit this design well, even Boba Fett, but this Royal Guard just looks so right and I think is clearly their best figure yet. During Star Wars Celebration this weekend in Europe, Bandai teased some drawings of possible future figures for this line, like a Darth Maul, IG-88, Gamorrean Guard, even Padme. So with luck this amazing line is going to continue to grow. This line scratches that army building itch (we've gotten a Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper so far, with 3 confirmed trooper variants on the way, and a possible 4th and Snowtrooper.... yes!!) as well as unique display items for action figure collectors, or fans of Samurai action figures. The articulation is on par with what we've been getting, the box is clean and nice and super collector friendly, there just isn't anything else like this on the market. Any Star Wars figure fan needs this for their collection. Between Bandai's S.H. Figuarts Star Wars line and their Meisho Movie Realization line, they're making the definitive 1/12 collectible Star Wars figures ,period. This is well worth the price tag ($80, currently) and is just the total business in terms of what you want out of a unique, pricey, import figure. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

Absolutely stunning figure. A must have for any serious Star Wars collector. A great representation of Samurai styling. Well made and solid. I own several and plan to every model Tamashii Nations puts out.

Amazing poseablity and articulation, a work of art. An awesome addition to my Star Wars movie realization collection. I would suggest getting a pair, not only does it do justice to the films, but also you get to display both "formes" of the figure, add a Vader in between and it just looks even more insane. The color on these figures is amazing, the camera doesn't do them justice. The attention to detail is outstanding. Highly recommend if you are thinking about starting a premium Star Wars collection.

I own 10 in this collection and all are very well made and detailed. If you love star wars and Japan, these are a must.

This is a very detailed and well made figure. However, it seems like mine was used, the box was not taped shut, the tape was pre-cut. The figure itself had a loose shoulder piece and one piece was simply off the socket. The peice that was off was able to be adjusted in nice and tightly, however, this was still a bit of a disappointment. Overall, the figure looks great

Just received this figure today and I'm amazed at the details of it. It stands out from the others because of the colour. I have 12 figures from this collection and I can honestly say I'm never disappointed when I receive a new one. But then what's not to love about mixing star wars and Japanese samurai, the quality and details will impress anyone who's in to this line of collectibles. Sure they may be a little pricy but then again if you're into this line of figures you will find them well worth the price.

La figura es excelente, no puedo creer lo detallada que es, lo articulada y tambien lo impresionante de toda la estética que maneja. El paquete tardó en llegar a la fecha prevista, pero eso fue por logística de Correos de México. Aún asi, el paquete llegó en muy buenas condiciones, con todos los accesorios y sellado. Definitivamente encargaré más cosas desde A-Style Japan.

Picked up the Movie Realisation Boba Fett earlier this year, and I am now hooked on this line of figures. I was unsure about the Royal Guard at first, but when the price fell to £70 I bit the bullet and having received the figure I'm not disappointed. The attention to detail is great, as is the quality. You don't get as many accessories as other figures in the line, but then the Royal Guards didn't have that much extra in the movie anyway. I found changing the hands a struggle at first, but just run the hand under a hot tap to loosen it a bit and it fits right in. The figure now has pride of place next to Boba and the Celebration Europe Exclusive sandtrooper I previously picked up. Yes, it's an expensive purchase, but worth the money and adds something unique and different to any Star Wars collection.
