Premium-Grade 6pc Diamond Needle File Set Soft Grip Stone Tile Glass by Protian

I needed some files to enlarge a hole in porcelain and was a bit hesitant as some reviewers did not like the size of the handles or - on another product - the diamond coated quickly flaked off. While I have only used these once thus far I find the handles to be fine and the size of the file worked well - you have a few choices. Actually, these seemed ideal for the job I had - and next time I need a diamond file I will have them! So don't hesitate - if you need this type file these work very well indeed.

Excellent quality and very long lasting. I've had mine for ~3 years now, and only now is one of them beginning to break, and it's the one that i've used (and abused) the most. I have no clue how to use files properly, so if i did, i have no doubt that it would last me much longer.

They work fine with most metals I work with(brass, copper, aluminium, steel) and, like any other file, should be cleaned after a while of use. The box is nice, the handles are fairly comfortable, but the actual filing parts of the file are a tad shorter than I'd prefer; that part covers a little over half the each needle file, so you can't make very long strokes, which is disappointment because I prefer being able to do so. Of course, that doesn't mean these files are bad, in fact they're fine. I just thought the filing edges would be longer.

i bought another brand of needle files with 10 pieces a while back and they were basically useless... they could not even cut an edge on any hard material. i decided to try these for a couple dollars more... nice handles, clean sharp cutting tips. these were used to de-burr and smooth out edges on hardened steel and they worked great. storage case was a nicely made also. the abrasive on the tips was a bit short but they were fine for what i needed then for.

I would say that these files are just fine for most light duty use, and probably a good choice to have in your tool box for occasional use; however, they are pretty light and may be easily broken (even though I have not broken one). the case is good and the files were not a disappointment for the price. I would recommend for occasional use, bit I would hesitate to recommend for professional or frequent use.

Why throw out those slightly chipped glass/crystal items. These files will smooth out those chips so they’re hardly noticeable. With 6 different shapes to choose from, you can easily match a file to the chip area to quickly smooth it out. Recommend wetting the glass and/or file while using.

I purchased these to help smooth out some rough spots on some silverware that tried to escape down the sink disposal while it was running! They are a lot smaller than I expected but otherwise are exactly what I needed! I am sure I will find other uses in the future for these files, and I am sure the silverware isn't done trying to escape us through the disposal!

I agree with another review about the difficulty in opening the case. I felt like I was a kid again trying to get out of Chinese thumb-cuffs. Upon further review, the yellow arrow-shaped tab is a lock from the factory, and has to be removed to open the case. That said, I'll give it 4-stars based solely on value for the money.
