My use for this solar fountain is to attract backyard birds with sound and sight of bubbling water. I have one made by a Yzert so I had a chance to compare them. My bird baths are 12 inch circumference and with either unit I must use the bubbler nozzle or the water is gone within a few minutes due to overspray. The Yzert is more light sensitive and works in cloudy weather or if there is shade. The Aisitin does not work at all when it is cloudy or shady. Birds prefer the birdbath with the bubbler for drinking and the other bird bath without a fountain for bathing. A friend has a Yzert and uses the medium height fountain - gets along fine and hummers flit around in the spray.

I have a planter tub of water on my deck that has some older solar fountains floating in it that still work, they make nice bubbly motions that reflect the sun's light into a nice sparkly feature that is quite pleasing. This newer one, I was able to use what I think is the more challenging attachments to make the higher reaching fountain spray design and it worked very well, even on a cloudy day, so it is a great addition because it works better than older models. I would recommend getting it if you like to use floating solar fountains, they are improving as time goes along.

It's pretty fun and works directly out of the box. Has good power. But stops working after 3 months or so.

Ok so does it work? Well if you take the description for it's word then No, because it is not stable in sunlight. Read the copied description below. Watch my video just shade from your hand or something moved close to it and it stops working. To me stable in sunlight means it's stable in daytime light! If you ever get a cloud forget it, it's not gonna function! If you live in the desert or put it up on your roof lol then maybe unless you to can have a cloud or touch of shade. Description : Stable and Durable: Larger 7.1 inch diameter solar panel cover to transfer stronger power to make fountain spray more lasting and stable. It get fast to work automatically once it put in water with sunlight. Take away: Stable,durable, sunlight, the key word's used in the description, but I don't read 100% direct sunlight used anywhere! The one star is fair as it does come on, but can't say it work's as advertised by a long shot a loose meaning of sunlight because one could argue that you can't have daylight without sunlight, but it does not work in just normal daylight even on a clear day and 80 degrees.

So this is a nice little solar fountain. However the suction cups are inadequate and will not hold it in the center of bird bath. Problem is it floats about and sprays all the water out. Another design previously bought had tabs along side for straw to be inserted and it kept the unit pretty centered. This would help with this one for future designs. We just use the low flow bubbler spray head and water stays in bath vs over the side. One review mentioned placing suction cups to metal container with rocks inside for weight. Think I'll try this with an old Altoids breath mint tin and see it that works. Amazing how much this little fountain adds to the garden affect. The birds are actually bathing in the bath! UPDATE: June 2024 and I've ordered two more of these fountains. They have lasted well and very happy with them. They no longer include a suction cup which is a good thing. They float around the bird bath and aerate it well. I'm really surprised how these have held up and lasted year to year. The birds love the baths, and we get a kick out of watching them splash about. I didn't realize birds actually use these baths. I thought it was pure garden decor, lol. But boy do they splash up a scene, all lined up for their nightly 5 O'clock baths. Buy one, they're great.

i love it, as i said it only works during the sunlight hours, but it is its description, solar powered, i have mine set in direct sun in the back yard for 10 hours a day - i live near Tampa Florida so i get plenty of sun, and it saves me getting a water pump and using electricity to get a stream of water, i have mine set to about 12 inches high, with my adjustable fittings, though they will go high than that, but it would spill out of my bird bard if i made it any higher.....well worth the $$$ spent

So I will say the product itself works great with one concern. I purchased this product with the 35 inch birdbath, they suggested these are often purchased together. Putting together the fountain was a breeze and allows certain level of customization with the water fountain attachments. As soon as the disc made contact with sunlight it started working...then the sun fully came out and launched all the water out of the bath. I didn't see any way of adjusting the flow level, it is just directly dependent on the amount of sunlight received. The fountain is great, just make sure you have a big enough bath for it!

Just packat upp fontänen ur paketet. Nu testkör vi den och den verkar fungera precis så som beskrivningen säger. Fontänen har sol från morgon till kväll, vid lite sämre solstrålar (skugga) så pumpar den ändå ut lite vatten.

The birds love these little fountains in their bird bath, or in the pond. The only issue is it is quite windy where I am and the wind will push them to the side so that they are spraying out of the bath or pond. Easy fix though, I just hung a heavy washer from the bottom as an anchor and they work perfectly now. The plus is no batteries or wires, they are completely solar so on a real cloudy day they do not spray quite as high, but they work, and at night they shut down so you are not wearing out parts. Also very easy to clean when debris get sucked into the pump. Will be getting a couple more in the spring.
