Woodstock International Steelex Plus D2331 Trammel/Circle Marker Set, Silver

I used the item and it works great . Very easy to read the markings and it locks in place and does not move. I agree with a rating of 5 stars.

I selected this trammel based on the only review listed and got caught. This is a prime example of the lack of quality in many of the manufactured goods offered. When I received the package (shoved into a box with little packing and no concern for damage) what I got out was a hand full of parts. When I assembled the parts (with no diagram or illustration on how it was to be used) I was looking a a piece of aluminum bar stock, threaded with out any concern for the quality of the job, with a section cut out (apparently by hand at different angles and leaving the saw marks on the stock) matched to this was a piece of aluminum tubing internally threaded (with sufficient play in the threaded connection to allow them to wiggle) covered with a brass cap retained by a snap ring (I can be sure of this because one of them was using the wrong size of snap ring and will not fit back on. The entire part looks like it was created with a precision hatchet, wielded by a highly trained six year old. If you are looking for an adjustable trammel, continuing looking. I am lucky in that I can fix the spacing and leave it without having to move it again. If I truly were looking for an adjustable trammel, this would have been returned at the speed of light. Don't waste your time.

Flimsy and difficult to use.

Works great....once I found a viable part to cover down for the missing one. Photos in the item description show each compass end came with a loose retainer ring to keep pressure on ruler to hold in place. However, my kit only came with it on one, and unfortunately, I discovered this long after the return no later than date had elapsed; my bad. I'm betting, this thing was refunded before and nobody took a close look at the item in the package. Because I had four staples on all sides of this case. Note the retainer ring that i'm pointing at and look at the other one that I had to use as a alternative......a toggle switch retainer ring.

Literally fell apart upon opening packaging. The scibe points and rule came bent, the points were very crudely filed to a point, but still extremely blunt. The list goes on but suffice to say, not worth the money.

Attachments do not stay on the ruler. I attach the spike and marker attachments the try to turn and one or both fall off. The top has a slot but the washer on the bottom does not, thread's are aluminum so you can't really crank it down.

Very poorly made. Some pieces lose in the package. I feel this was opened before me and maybe a return. Could not insert the pencil lead, it broke immediately. Not even worth returning. Trash!!!

Adequate for the purpose, but not very durable. Also hard to set the trammels on the steel ruler. The ruler provided is very thin and the clamping edges tend to slip off. It's also very easy to break the included pencil leads. It is a little easier to use than a pencil, string, and thumbtack, but not much.

Works but awkward to set

I had the requirement to mark out a spiral design on a 20" squared piece of wood, every compass I had would not span the distance. The only issue I have with this product is that the individual trammels do not have a marking down the body of the trammel itself to help find the distance on the ruler. Other than that issue - this tool is exactly what I needed, and will do the job I require of it.

It works, but comes apart during use sometimes. You have to be very delicate.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. But in all honesty the build quality could be better. Better materials could have been used,. ruler flexes abit more than I would expect. The top of the trammel parts have a tendency to fall off.

Pretty cheaply made, Threads are less then impressive. It will function but i won’t be using it as it’s not reliable and slips easy
