I have been using SOLGAR vitamins for many years. They actually work because when I go for a blood test, my vitamin levels show up great I’m very happy with this product. I will always stick with this brand as much as possible.

I use Solar on some other vitamins I take. I have great faith in the quality of the brand.

My doctor told me I had a severe vitamin D deficiency. I was advised to take 5,000 IU daily and that it would take at least 4 months to get my body to normal levels. When I went to the store to buy some vitamine D, I noticed a vast array of prices for the 5,000 IU and decided to do some research, before making a purchase. The research indicated that attention should be paid to the oil that the vitamin D is suspended in, because some manufacturers use unhealthy oils. Some websites claimed that vitamin D is better absorbed with oil, while others claimed the opposite. I also noticed that the "dry" vitamin D supplements cost quite a bit more. Because I also take Carlson's Lemon Flavored Fish Oil (this is the only product that doesn't come up on me), I did not want to ingest more oil. So, I selected Solgar's VegCap version. After taking one pill daily for about 8 months, my blood tests indicated that I am now only slightly deficient. So, I know that this product is moving my bloodwork in the right direction and I noticed pretty immediate changes in my cognition and vision when I first began taking it. It would be interesting to test whether my body does better with the gelcaps (suspended in oil), over the VegCaps (dry) that I'm still using, but it takes so long for your body to adjust, plus the blood tests are very expensive. I've read some reviews on other vitamin D products that contain weird oils that triggered alergic reactions, or that ran promotions to manipulate reviews (like give us 5 stars and you'll get a discount, etc.). So, I'm still most comfortable with purchasing Solgar's VegCaps. My initial purchases were at Whole Foods, but the cost is quite a bit less through Amazon.

I have never written a review before, but this product does work and I hope my review can help someone make a choice of what supplements to buy. I have had low Vitamin D for about 3 years and I have been trying to raise it by taking other brand vitamin D. One brand I took for almost one year and a repeat blood work showed an insignificant increase. I read a review on here where someone said after buying the solgar brand their vitamin D levels increased. I decided to try the solgar vitamin D and took it for about 3 to 6 months. By the time I went for a repeat test, my vitamin D levels where at a level I have never had it before! I was excited about that and now I only buy the solgar brand anything supplements. If you are looking for a supplement that really works, go with the solgar brand. This is not a paid review.

I take 15k everyday, and it shuts that little voice right up. Can't recommend enough. Seriously, check the corelation between D3 deficiency and self deletion. Also helps improve my memory. Solgar also happens to be one of the most trusted brands and has never let me down! I've bought this many times and will continue.
