COLZER Air Purifier, BKJ-33

I sent this to family in California whose house was surrounded by the smoke of the intense wildfires. Although the windows were kept tightly closed to keep the smoke out, the air quality indoors was still poor. There is a newborn baby in the house and we were worried sick about the unhealthy air. The family had two less powerful air filters but they were inefficient in larger rooms, like the kitchen and dining room. After researching reviews, I purchased the Colzer BKJ-33 air purifier. Thankfully, it was delivered quickly and it has made a tremendous difference in the quality of the air. I am not exaggerating when I say that the Colzer air purifier is one of the most important purchases I ever made.

Very loud and blew some cold air so I actually got cold (which was nice); but wouldn’t work for my classroom. I sprayed some Lysol and other cleaners just to see how it did with those things but it never turned “red” for poor air quality which worried me.Used for a week daily and overall decided that this wouldn’t be a good fit for me or my classroom. Might work for others, though.I had to update. They emailed me a bribe if I took my review down. Offer of a more expensive air purifier for free. That seemed sketchy and made me take my 3 star to a 1 star.

We are renting a house which is over 100 years old, is 750 square feet, and has a storm cellar as a basement. Since it is not insulated well and is so old, we have a musty older permeating frequently in the house, especially on humid days. We bought this air purifier in the hopes that it would help. It has really helped keep the musty odors down. We normally keep it on medium air speed, but on humid days, we turn the fan speed to high.There are three colors that glow around the on-button that show red (bad air quality), green (medium air quality) and blue (good air quality). We were impressed to see that even when cooking a hamburger, or something that causes smokiness in the kitchen, the button will turn red to indicate that the air quality is poor and will eventually go back to blue, showing it is now a good air quality.Please remember to read the directions before turning it on as I didn't do this initially. There was a strange noise and then I realized that I needed to remove the plastic wrap around the air filter before turning it on. Otherwise, it's easy to use and seems to be working great!

I am writing this review on the updated Colzer BKJ-33 to let you know what a great and quiet unit this is. I own 2 of the these units, but of an older design, as well as a Colzer BKJ-215; and they are all great units.The redesign of the BJK-33 looks great. It is a little more square than my previous units and slightly deeper, but this is to accommodate a thicker filter. Plus with all the COVID-19 issues of late, having a nice thick filter to help with air impurities is great to have.I also like the air quality indicator they’ve added. It’s nice to look at the unit and know the status. As you will see in the video, the unit is quiet, easy to navigate, and the filter is super easy to change out.I get roughly 3 months with my filters but I have 5 dogs. ; )The units, including this one, are compact and don’t take up a lot of space. I have been working from home lately due to COVID and I have a unit running in the office 24/7. I have no idea it’s there as it is so quiet.These are great units, quiet, compact, and user friendly.

I received my new Colzer air purifier 2 days ago. My old air purifier had finally bit the dust. I was so pleasantly surprised to see how quiet this purifier is...even on high...much quieter than my old unit. After searching multiple air purifiers, I chose this particular item due to the room area that it cleans. But after setting up the unit, which was quite easy to do, I was happy to see how easy the additional features were to use. From the auto setting to the child proof features to the nightime sleep, I couldn't ask for anything more. The air quality indicator is a great feature...so happy to see the blue indicator light. So if you're looking for a hepa air purifier that cleans a large area, runs quietly and has great extra features...then this Colzer item is for you.
