This works as expected. The prongs are very sharp. It has a nice handle allowing you to hold items while slicing them. It’s not too big and fits nicely in your hand. It does have a cover that you can place on it while stored so you do not cut yourself. It seems to be well made and no cheap and flimsy feeling. I feel like this tool will last a while.

I was leery about buying this tool, but after using it I am glad I did. This tool is great for slicing and dicing onions. It makes it a lot easier to hold the onion in place while you're slicing or cutting it. I also tried it successfully on a cucumber. It made the knife cuts a lot cleaner and faster. It's a simple tool that solves an ongoing problem. I have used it on both yellow and red onions. It saves me a lot of work. Yes, I have been slicing dicing and cutting up vegetables for a very long time without this tool. But why would I not want to use something that makes life easier for me?

I use this holder to slice onions all the time now. It's safer to use and allows me to get fairly uniform slices. I can easily dice the slices by rotating the onion with holder keeping the slices in place (except the end pieces). I recommend slicing the onion in have through the center core, then laying it flat and using the onion holder to anchor it in place. Use a chef's knife to cut the slices, then rotate to cut the slices into diced onion as desired. Great tool.

Very handy item to help with slicing onions. I never can get my slices even and having this to told the onion and as a guide for uniform slices is great. I WOULD buy this again and I DO recommend it. The only reason I gave it a “4” is because it is not of the highest quality and I’m OK with that.

My hubby has a problem slicing onions and tomatoes and asked me if there was an easy way to cut them without slicing himself. I found this great little tool. It is perfect for him, no more finger cuts and frustration. Best of all, I don't have to do it for him anymore. I love that it has a plastic shield over the very sharp points, safety first! Easy to wash by hand, we won't be putting it in the DW. This little toot is not limited to veggies but can be used for anything you want to hold down while cutting. Great price for a much-needed tool. We are very happy with our purchase.

Not sure what I was expecting, but it is not as simple and intuitive as you would think. Really nice quality product, but using your hand is easier.

A very handy device! I use it more as protection, than making even thin slices. I had a stroke, leaving me with only one strong, reliable hand. This helps prevent me from accidentally slicing my weak hand. I love cooking from scratch, and that requires cutting up a lot of raw veggies. My weak hand can't hold vegetables and raw meat steady by itself, but it can grasp the holder's grip enough so I can still use my cutting knives with my good hand.

Works well. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but great for people with limited strength or coordination, as you're cutting well away from your fingers.

A great product. Keeps fingers well away from the knife, offers even slice width and crazy fast, so no chance for watery eyes!

It’s a good sturdy product, but practical usage is limited, we barely remember using it. Only when you need perfect slices, you could use it but use with a lot of patience.
