Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: MinaLima Edition

What a marvelous piece of art for potterheads. If you have ever seen a harry potter movie just go for it. The book got little bit of disfigure during delivery, rest every thing is outstanding about the book.

These outstanding Harry Potter editions by MinaLima are must haves for collectors. After all, Minaphora Mina and Eduardo Lima are the original graphic designers for the film adaptations of the original series and Fantastic Beasts. The reimagined illustrations in these new editions give a fresh perspective on the magical world (and a reason to re-read the series yet again). The 2nd instalment matches the bar with the 1st one with beautiful colour illustrations and meticulously designed interactive elements (see attached video). Both the 1st and 2nd editions are quite bulky for the size due to the embedded interactive elements and thick papers. The paper quality is really nice on these and the binding is strong and threaded to hold the entire thing together. Theses editions are clothbound and the spines feature the minarets of Hogwarts with the series number on them in gold foil. I suppose Mina-Lima have thought of the entire series to represent Hogwarts when all the instalments (once published) are aligned spine-to-spine (see attached picture) – and that's really genius. And did I mention the lovely endpapers on these? All-in-all great editions to own and read/re-read the series. I had been waiting for the 2nd one to come out since last year and had pre-ordered this 2 months ago. Not really sure though how Mina-Lima plan to do the rest of the instalments given the existing two are already quite hefty. As for the delivery, the book was delivered as expected in a flimsy plastic bag. Thanks to publishers, the book was shrink-wrapped and arrived safe.

One of the most fun Harry Potter book releases. Complete with never before seen illustrations and interactive elements, this book is bound to get the kid in your house to read them and enjoy it as much as you once did or still do. I know that I do a reading of all the 7 once a year at least. MinaLima Design is a graphic design company that produces props such as book covers, posters, and other graphical elements for various films, including the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts film series. ~ from their website and this shows how authentic the sources are. These are not some who read and drew them, they were involved in the making of the movies so you may be having something of a history in your bookshelves. Please choose the hardcovers and not the paperbacks for these editions at least. Trust me they are worth it.

Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima (MinaLima masterminds) created the graphic designs behind all the famous graphic elements of Harry Potter as seen in films. They created the famous letter from Hogwarts, the Marauders Map, Daily Prophet, the howler, the black family wallpaper, the wanted posters and so much more. I have grown up reading the books, watching the films and am beyond obsessed with the Wizard World. These books are so ornate and astonishing to someone who has reread the series multiple times, that it feels like I am reading the novels as a child for the first time. The book has several popup elements, beautiful color images, and more that make it such an interactive reading experience. From the high-quality hardback cover to each colored image, to the perfectly printed paragraphs, the work is phenomenal. I LOVE THE Whomping Willow And The Floo Network Illustrations in Chambers Of Secrets, but I also love how colourful And interactive The Diagon Alley is in the Philosopher’s Stone. Makes this book just Indulging. In my opinion, it's a must-have book on the bookshelf of a passionate Potterhead. Pros: -Beautiful Green Hardback cover with gold foil details -Thick sturdy pages -Pop out panels for a more interactive experience -More character illustrations than any other illustrated versions -High resolution vibrant colors throughout Cons: -Be mindful about the pop-up/interactive features around younger children, while this is very sturdy it can rip if mistreated. Awesome , it had a very little damage near the spine but it's totally fine , Awesome book, obviously original , the illustrations are great and those interactive illustration are really Awesome for a potterhead and the it really makes the reading of the story very easy.awesome look on the spine and Brand new book feels just amazing.

Everyone knows how great Harry Potter books are. Yet the publishers keep innovating these books and make us fall in love with it over and over again. Another such attempt is the MinaLima illustrated edition. So beautiful! I'm surprised how we can keep reimagining the series and it doesn't feel repetitive at all. The illustrations are colorful, the best ones are made interactive. What else to ask for? This edition becomes precious for any Harry Potter fan who has a knack for collecting new editions. It certainly outshines every other book on the shelf. Every ardent Harry Potter fan must grab this edition of books before the stock runs out. Apart from that, I'm so glad that Amazon was able to deliver this book with utmost caution and care, considering how much it's packed with. Certainly, a five-star experience.

The book came on time, is hard bound, as expected and as given in the detailed description. The book was bubble-wrapped, unlike the cardboard amazon box that I got the Harry Potter 1 MinaLima Edition in. Overall, it has a better cover than the first Harry Potter MinaLima Edition, but still it is fragile and you have to have "Handle with Care" written on it all the time. I read my Harry Potters in paperback, but for the kids I get these. But I do feel, it costs a lot more and maybe somehow not worth the price. Having said that, I know I will order the 3rd book in the MinaLima Ed as well!
