Excellent phone, especially when picked up on discount.
Review from OnePlus 6 owner. True flagship experience. Getting all of the flagship features that have been missing in previous generations. Picked up on discount for £ 620. While the 9 Pro is a lot more expensive than OnePlus's previous devices (especially at RRP). It's great value when picked up on sale as it's close to being as good as a S21 Ultra while undercutting it by over £ 300 even when that phone was on its best discount too. OnePlus phones are on sale more often now since the brands popularity has grown and the phone is now available at multiple retailers in the UK. Back in OnePlus 6 days the phone was almost never on sale so even though the devices are more expensive now, you can still pick them up for around £ 450-650 when on heavy discount half a year later. (Especially for non Pro model). At these discounted prices I feel like they might even offer more value then the previous OnePlus phones did at the £ 500 RRP. I've listed some of the main pros and cons that I've experienced below. Pros: - Amazing bright & smooth screen - Great performance - Clean software - Elegant design, Stellar Black colour looks super stealth - Very good rear cameras especially ultra wide. No fish eye effect. Good detail and dynamic range. Video in artificial light surprisingly good also even at high resolution & high framerates due to large camera sensor. - 8k video good for future proofing. But I think 4k video is a lot more consistent and what should be used instead. - Loud and clear stereo speakers. - High quality vibration motor adds better haptic feedback. Both this and the stereo speakers are massive upgrades from older OnePlus devices. - Great that the phone still comes with a charging brick in the box. Very Fast wired and wireless charging. I timed a 5%-100 wired charge in 27minutes. This changes the way you use a phone. Such a great feature! Cons: - Fingerprint sensor placement isn't the best. Would prefer it to be a bit higher up on the screen. - Speed and reliability of indisplay fingerprint sensor Isn't as good as rear mounted OnePlus 6 one. Still very quick and good especially for indisplay sensor. Surprised how good these are. Minor con. - Front camera not as high end as competitors. - Battery life is an A- not A+. I get around 6-7 hours screen on time running phone at 1440p 120Hz. This depends on your usage habits so can vary for different users.

This phone is an absolute beast for the price.
Ok, so you're probably wondering why it's cheap considering the specs and I'll be honest I have absolutely no idea because this phone competes with the Samsung S21 Ultra, which is 2x the price. As usual I was hesitant to buy because of a few not so good reviews, but I'm convinced they are left by people who are unable to set up a phone correctly. First of all, the phone comes as FHD+ as default, you need to change the display settings to QWHD to get that beautiful sharp display. And let me say, the display is absolutely stunning, sharp, beautiful colour production, amazingly smooth 120hz refresh rate that is immediately noticeable, and the screen also has software accelerated motion smoothing which further adds to the silky smooth video production. I purchased the 128gb 8gb version and the phone is actually extremely fast, sometimes it takes me by surprise!! Runs some more visually demanding games buttery smooth. The phone itself feels premium quality in the hand and the back is a thing of beauty, especially in the colour morning mist. The camera lenses are large and look really pleasing to the eye. Battery life is 4/5 BUT, This is a big BUT.. You have no idea how fast this phone charges. 30 mins to 100% and it's not spec sheet lies. It really does charge faster than anything I've ever witnessed! Amazing for people who use their phone a lot and wish to charge for a little bit after heavy use, 10 mins will easily charge to 30% Moving to the camera itself, if you are unfamiliar with Hassleblad whom collaborated with OnePlus to create the camera system create very high end medium format cameras. As a photographer with 20 years experience I definitely have a valid opinion of it's performance, the cameras are really great in well lit situations, with great colour reproduction, sharp images with great clarity. Low light is harder to get a sharp image but that can be corrected with a little tripod. My only gripe would probably be the shutter time, I've had phone's that are faster but as a landscape photographer this isn't a problem. The selfie camera is good and produces a bookah effect, although it's software produced, this is still not good enough to retire your DSLR! The operating system is android obviously but the oxygen OS mod that oneplus produced is by far my favorite, it's easy to use, plenty of customisation options and definitely has a one up on samsung. Overall, I'm still in shock at the price for such a phone.. have they messed up the pricing? Aha. Want my opinion? Just buy it, I'm literally over the moon with it. Hope this helped you decide. My apologies if I missed anything out.

Updated review- decent hardware, terrible software. Avoid!
Original review below for comparison. Good hardware still needs good software and in this regard Oneplus have failed with their android 12 roll out. After 3 beta tests the stable release broke some essential features (like mobile signal...) And removed some existing ones (One plus have now withdrawn the update for further work). If you need a new phone get a pixel 6 or an S21 instead. Old review: Good things (coming from an s20 ultra) -Latest Snapdragon chip -The matte finish on the back is better than shiny glass. -Fingerprint reader is very fast and much more accurate than my last phone. -Oxygen OS is close enough to stock android to use as is (sooo much better than One UI). -Supplied wired charger is superfast! -Camera is pretty good so far. I prefer not having super saturated photos as I did with the s20 ultra. -Comes with a case -Battery life is good, the phone lasts me the day. -Cheaper than a Samsung -The whole throttling thing -Despite that it can get quite hot under heavy load. -One+ are apparently merging oxygen OS with Colour OS and future updates will be based on that. -Not much clarity on the number of OS updates for the device (Samsung are actually good at this now, how things change). -No SD card slot or headphone jack. I guess I'm happy enough. I think the days of new phones surprising with design or new features are long gone. This is a good device with a few drawbacks that will nonetheless do very well for most people at a slightly lower pricepoint than its competitors.

Awesome phone(!) but lacking some QoL features other flagships have
This is a killer phone for the price I got it at (£660). But at full price, I'd be a little conflicted. It's super fast, thanks to the snappy processor, and has a very nice camera. Other phone do better in the selfie department but on the rear-camera, with the recent software updates OPlus has made, the "Hasselblad" is a little more than a simple logo slapped on the back. Still not what they hyped but pretty nice. I'm loving the XPAN mode and the photos are extremely crisp, not over saturated, and overall very nice. I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S10 and even from that, there are some Samsung features I sorely miss. TL;DR - Mostly gaming related. 1. There's no customisable quick access app tab that Samsung has. It literally holds all my frequent apps perfectly which I can swipe to bring up on the side of my home screen. 2. Game launcher settings. In Samsung's, I could mute "Game Sound", meaning all games would be muted, at any time. No having to go into settings for each individual game, which you can only do from the home page of the game anyway. With muting game sound, I could do it at any time and play my own music or podcasts over it etc. This is REALLY needed. 3. Screen lock for gaming. It would dim the screen and touch lock it while the game kept running at a lower FPS in the back so conserve battery. - OnePlus has it's own game launcher so these features are definitely ones it could implement. 3. Secure Folder by Samsung is amazing. It's essentially a sandbox, any app can be put in there, and it will have it's own secure version without hiding or removing the main app. This means you can have a second camera, gallery, files, folders, broswer, games WHATEVER inside there, secure locked. Allows for simple, yet effective sandbox cloning or securely keeping files safe, without have multiple apps for different things. The closest thing functionality wise would be apps which clone your entire phone, but it kills your battery. Secure Folder doesn't. It's a patented Samsung tech though so I don't expect OP to have anything soon.

Still a good phone today
This has been a brilliant phone and performance wise stacks up well against modern phones. The only downside is the battery which could add should have been bigger and better.

Fantastic
I'm speechless at the quality of this phone. I used my savings to buy it and I had to think twice before putting down such amount of money on a phone but I'm glad I did. Fortunately for me I preserve and maintain whatever I buy in good maintenance so I believe I will be using this phone for a while to come. So sleek and one of the reason I bought it was the battery life from the reviews they said the battery life was good and yes! 💯% very good. The camera is excellent I am yet to get around with most of the features I just received it few days ago so I have not been able to grab most of the features. I will probably check YouTube if I can find any tutorial on it. Overall, OnePlus 9pro is worth buying. I have an iPhone 11 but this one is far better than it. Thanks you.

Update: Goodbye OnePlus!
Update 28 March 2022: After a very, very long wait for the Android 12 update, it is with great regret a fatal blow not only for this device, but for OnePlus in general. I can confirm that the rumours that Oxygen OS and OPPO's Color OS merging to one, rather horrible OS are true. The main advantage OnePlus had, Oxygen OS is no longer valid, the handset now is running an image of the much cheaper entry level OPPO devices' OS. I would've bought an OPPO device if I wanted the Color OS experience. I did not. This phone is now heavily discounted (£609), but it's not worth a penny after the new update. Gmail notification still not working, battery drains like mad. And most importantly, it's not running on Oxygen OS anymore. Stay clear, this will be my last OnePlus device. I am actually considering a Samsung for my next phone, yep, it is THAT bad! ------------------------ Original review: This is an ‘upgrade’ from my beloved, favourite OnePlus 6 which I have been using for almost 4 years now, and is still running just fine. The 9 Pro is a bit heavy, but balanced in your hand and the ‘brushed’ glass finish at the back makes a nice change from slippery glass and makes it a lot more safer to use without a protective case. It’s also a bit ‘longer’ on one handed-use, you do get used to it but the shape of the more square OnePlus 6 was much better. I can go on forever but I will list what I consider pros and cons. Pros: 1- As mentioned earlier, the overall look and feel of the handset is excellent. 2- Oxygen OS is, hands down the best Android flavour I tried. 3- The camera is not a DSLR, but it’s much better than many alternatives. 4- Ridiculously fast charging, 10 minutes on the charger will keep you going for a full day (With screen on 60 Hz and lower resolution). 5- Wireless charging is finally integrated. 6- Fingerprint scanner is lightning fast, and much better than conventional physical sensors. 7- A super responsive device with no lagging or delays, throw anything at it and it will do it without complaining. Cons: 1- It’s an expensive 5G handset, that does not support 5G reception on a Tesco Mobile SIM card. 2- Again, it’s an expensive 5G handset, that does not support VoWiFi or VoLTE on a Tesco Mobile SIM card. 3- On default, the excellent display has a horrible yellow tinge to it, need to go to settings and change screen calibration to correct it. 4- Screen is beautiful when set on full resolution and 120 Hz, but it drains the battery like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, it’s just not practical. 5- Battery optimisation has gone insane, Google Fit does not count steps, Gmail notifications are hit and miss, and all other apps are affected with different levels of interruption. This however seems to have improved a bit since the latest update I received 2 weeks ago, hopefully it will rectify it and be back to normal. 6- Camera can be a bit tricky on auto mode, it will decide what object to focus on despite you asking it to focus somewhere else too often for my liking. (Software can rectify that). 7- A rather heavy, thick handset could’ve easily accommodated a 3.5 socket, which would’ve been much better. 8- Curved display looks nice, but otherwise useless. I can go on forever, but these are the points that are, in my opinion, count as pros and cons. Would I pay £829 for this phone? No is the simple answer. I got this handset when it was on sale for £679, and that’s the only reason I’m keeping it. I will repeat what many other people have mentioned already, OnePlus 9 , or even the 8T is much better value for money, unless you catch this on heavily discounted, or if wireless charging is important for your use.

One of the Best Software-Hardware smartphones in 2021. CAMERAS ++++
OnePlus did again its best to deliver us an excellent Flagship smartphone From the first touch i could feel the Premium Quality of the phone's stracture. Amazing matt feeling without any fingerprints. Screen : Big, Bright, Incredible colors and perfect blacks! The smoothest feeling i have ever seen in a smartphone. You will be surprised! Battery : The battery last for at least 1 day with normal usage and the charging OMG!!!! less tha 40 minutes from 5% to 100% CAMERAS : One of the biggest updates for OnePlus are the cameras. Finally and well done for that!!! Huge sensors and they do exactly what they promised! Great detailed photos with acurate colors and low light photos are Incredible even without using the night mode. And with the PRO mode you can even do moreeee!!! The smoothest transision in an android phone from the Main camera to the Wide angle camera. Selfie camera is also good with an amazing bokeh(portrait) mode!! Software : Smooth and reliable software without any problel. For 2021 if you thinking on buying an Android Flagship around 800pounds with great cameras and premium quality and experience in general OnePlus 9 Pro its the one you looking for!

Arrivato in 1 giorno. Il venditore mi ha contattata perchè non aveva il color argento mi ha proposto il verde. Che io preferivo!! Cell arrivato in 1 giorno.
