This is my 4th piece of All-Clad and I love love love it! The multiple layers of aluminum and stainless steel of the D5 provide excellent and even heat retention, which is more important for a frying pan than a pot that you might use for simmering liquids. There's a bit of a learning curve if you're coming from years of using inexpensive cookware like I was; important to learn how to heat the pan correctly (start on low heat, and there's never any need to go higher than about medium heat). This is cookware to last a lifetime and pass down to your kids.

Holds the heat very well. Not a non stick this any pan like this is harder to clean. But it’s worth it.

El sartén distribuye el calor de manera excelente y resulta fácil cocina en él. Básicmanete lo uso para hacer omelettes y no se pega nada, incluso al usar poco aceite.

I have 3 D5 fry pans, 2 non stick and this 8 inch brushed stainless. I also own the d5 4 qt pot and d3 1 qt saucier. This line is cookware is excellent. The only competition is Zwilling Sensation line of cookware which is also 5 layers and great cookware and I have 2 Sensation pots, a 2 qt and a 3 qt. NEVER had a problem with the bottoms not being level and I also use this cookware on a glasstop range.

Great pan but stains easily
