Keson SR10100 Surveyors Rope (Graduations: 10ths), 100-Foot

I bought this along with an extension cord reel, and used it to make a weighted tape (with some duct tape and a barn nail) for measuring depths of bore holes and monitoring wells. I recently used it to do a survey of hydraulic features for one of our projects where we are updating the flood mapping. It worked great getting bridge spans and widths as well as depth to water surface and channel bottoms. I didn't have any problems with it tangling, and for it being in the 30's both days I was in the field, the material stayed flexible and the tape was easy to work with. I gave it only four stars, because it would be nice to have it with 100ths, since some of the projects we work on require more precise measurements than 10ths, but for most things it does what it needs to.

I was impressed with the quality, however being a tape it didn't seem practical so ended up returning it

The material this was made of became difficult to unwind and tangled easily. It became extremely stiff in colder weather and was hard to work with.
