Worked well BUT it's slightly shorter than the fluorescent bulb it replaced
Light is bright and did the trick nicely for the refurb project I was doing on this beer sign. It's actually brighter and looks better than the Fluorescent replacement I also tried. One caveat: the bulb is a 1/4 inch shorter and wouldn't stay in the installed fixture sockets. Had to drill a new hole and rig a new way to secure that end of the connection but after the rewiring it turned out well. The bulb now emits less heat and won't continue to damage the fixture with discoloration like the fluorescent was doing and will last longer and use a lot less energy. Win-Win!

Great lighting, easy modification to fixtures
The LED tubes work very well. I was able to modify the light fixtures within a few minutes. Just clip the wires on the ballast, and attach a black wire to one end and a white wire to the other end using the existing wire nuts. I removed the ballast, but it could have stayed in the fixture. The tubes shipped had rotatable ends, although they were not advertised to be rotatable. This is a big plus! Because the lighting is directional, it was great to be able to aim the lighting to make it just right. The product description says that the lighting angle is 240 degrees. This is a wide angle, and being able to rotate the lighting assures that it goes where you want it to go. These tubes are 11 3/4" long. There is another product that is slightly longer. Apparently, lighting fixtures for the tubes can be either length. I discovered that the tombstone ends on my fixtures are mounted with a metal end bracket that is easily bent slightly one way or another to accommodate both lengths. I bent my tombstone brackets just a tiny bit to make them slightly closer together to assure a good contact. I was trivial to do, and took only a few seconds. The resulting lighting is far better than we had with the original fluorescent tubes in coverage and brightness. Also, it eliminated the annoying delay when turning on fluorescent lights.

Tubes are Shorter than they are supposed to be.
It was great that they arrived in 4 days. (about 1 week earlier than estimated) They work great and are quite bright. There's a ribbed metal heat-sink down the length of the tube but the main body of the tube rotates independently of the connections on each end so it can be "aimed". I would have given this product 5 stars except... After I removed the ballast & rewired my fixture I discovered that these led tubes are about 1/4 inch shorter than the fluorescent tubes they replaced. I had to be careful when I put them in so they didn't fall out. (If the tubes are inserted completely in the connector on one end... they just barely touch the connector on the other end.) The provided photos show the difference in how a standard fluorescent tube (silver ends) fits the fixture versus this led tube (white ends). Overall, I'm quite pleased with how they look & work. Given that this tube is sold as "replacement" to a 12" fluorescent tube, it's strange that it's not the same length.

The retrofit was doable, but not exactly easy
The retrofit was doable, but not exactly easy.It took me some time, plus a trip to the hardware store for wire butt splices. For some existing wire lengths, there wasn't enough slack to use a wire nut. Also, the "warm white" light wasn't as warm as expected. I'm sure it's the correct color temperature. It's just that I remember the cool white bulb that I replaced being more or less the same. That said, this was the only place I could find this specialty bulb, and the rotatable end was a real bonus since my fixture is mounted on a vertical surface inside a display cabinet.Installation details:You’ll need to modify your existing fluorescent fixture, which typically includes a ballast, starter, and tube. The retrofit involves removing the ballast and starter from the circuit entirely. You then connect the AC power lines (which originally fed the ballast/starter) directly to the tombstone connectors that hold the bulb. These connections feed AC into the bulb’s internal LED driver, which converts it to DC and powers the LEDs.Important wiring note for multiple bulbs:If you're installing more than one bulb in a shared fixture, pay close attention to orientation. While the bulbs themselves aren’t polarized, improper alignment can lead to both ends of each tube becoming "live" with opposing charges. To stay safe, align all bulbs the same way and make sure the neutral side connects to the wider blade of a standard two-prong plug, with the hot side to the narrow blade.

Decent LED tube. Some minor issues.
It’s a nice bright light. No issues there but…1) The color seems off. I have Sylvania Truwave bulbs (18” and 24”) in other spots under my cabinets. They are set to 4100k and I like the color. These are 4000k which I get is slightly more towards the yellow end of the spectrum. To me, it seems to have a greenish tint.2) Just like it says in the specs, it’s 11-3/4”, which is 1/4” shorter than the original F8T5 fluorescent that it replaces. So you need to be careful putting it in.3) The other possible issue is that 180 degrees of the tube is metal, so it only emits light from half the tube. Not an issue for an under cabinet light but may be an issue in other applications.Maybe I’m just too picky. If you don’t have to match to another color, I’d say go with it. There aren’t too many 12” Type B LED tubes out there. Although, I did see some at Home Depot….
