What a beautiful, well-crafted walking cane! Purchased for my spouse to use during hip surgery recovery. He wanted a walking aide that was stylish and did not look like "an old man cane"--the Asterom cane completely fits the bill, and he has been absolutely delighted with it! It is quite handsome, understated, sturdy, and comfortable to use. Gave my husband a boost of confidence to walk into work carrying this elegant cane, and he has received many, many compliments! In addition, Asterom customer service is top-notch. The company reached out to me via Amazon to see how we were liking the product. Told them that it was perfect, and we were disappointed when my husband dropped it on the concrete and chipped a piece of wood off the handle. No questions asked, the company shipped us a replacement handle from their manufacturing facility in Ukraine. Received it yesterday, and the cane has happily been restored to its original perfection. Can't recommend highly enough!

I have tried many canes since the beginning of my disability 20 years ago. 3 years ago I found this company that hand makes there produce in the Ukraine.From the pictures, the product looked beautiful, but I’ve been down that road before with other canes. There was just something in the way they described their product that encouraged me to try itOne of the problems I’ve had with canes is the hand fatigue and cramping after just a little while if using it. Another problem I had with other canes is that the handle and shaft were not connected well or the shaft was not as solid as described. Usually the picture did not match the finished product.When I received my cane it looked like a piece of art, just gorgeous, but very usable. The handle and shaft were expertly connected. This finish was flawless. Most importantly I did not get hand fatigue or muscle spams even after going for multiple hour walks. Also, this cane saved me many times from falling with its sturdy construction and I weigh over 220 and it has held up very well. I just spoke with the company about an issue I caused with the cane and they were so wonderful with helping me sort the problem out.Finally, with them being located in the Ukraine, please say a prayer or kind words for them

My oak cane is really nice to say the least. For being hand crafted, I have to give it it's props. Solid oak and sturdy. The canes come in 36" and being 5'8"I ended up cutting 2" off of it to fit me better. I was going to cut off 3" but figured I could cut an additional 1" off if need be. The way it worked out, the 2" was good. Thank God for the DE Walt Miter saw. It made a nice smooth cut and the cap went right back on with no problem. I bought the oak cane without the handle ornament. I doubt the$34.00 is worth the brass handle ornament. But that's my opinion. I did however buy a 3mm x 5m leather strap to customize it some what. As far as the leather wrist strap you can buy separately, mine fell apart within 2 hours of receiving it and the day before I got the cane. The rivet came apart making it a 3 piece set. Stay away from that.

Hopefully some day soon I will get my dang hip replaced, but for now, I can get around in style. This cane was made with pride. If I'm going to need to use a cane, I want it to make me look good doing so. Spare rubber tip is a nice added bonus too. Thank you!

I have a wide variety of canes, including several that are handmade by local craftsmen in Wisconsin. I can say without reservation that this is the best cane I own. I have several metal canes, including a 'revolver grip'; 2 lucite clear canes, and at least a half dozen wood canes- the Asterom is the best by a wide margin. Workmanship is excellent, the finish is a satin finish and the grip is wonderful. Easy as pie to assemble; all you do is fit the decorative metal band (make sure it's right side up :-), and simply screw in the handle. It comes in separate pieces so it doesn't get damaged in shipping, and as a former UPS worker, I can say the packaging is excellent. I recommend this without reservation.

I was surprised when I received this cane that it was manufactured in Ukraine during the present war with Russia. Glad to see some businesses are still in operation. The cane comes is two parts (handle and stalk). Easy assembly and it comes with an extra rubber tip to use when the original wears out. The finish could be a little nicer but overall it is a fine cane.

I was very impressed by this cane as well as a second one I purchased with the carved head of a wolf. These canes are well built as well as being works of art. They feel more massive in your hand than most other canes, although some might consider this a hindrance if they have small hands. I’m considering purchasing a third cane as a Christmas present for myself, because I like them so much. Their brochure shows many more styles with carvings as well as metal artwork on the handles. I highly recommend these canes even if you’re planning to buy just one. You’ll not only have a very sturdy cane for walking, but you’ll also have a nice piece of artwork as well.
