No these Socks Do Not Have a steel toe embedded.

These socks are said to be specifically designed for longer wear with Steel Toe Shoes.

I can attest to that as the honestly due last a very long time!

Definitely will last 3-7 times longer that Walmart Socks.

Question 2

Can these be used to play racquetball?  Sudden direction change while playing has meant all my socks have holes in the toe area.

I’m sure you could. These socks are fairly thick so depending on how snug your shoes are it might be too thick. I love these socks for my work boots but I have thrown on my tennis shoes with them on before and noticed they’re not super comfy in them. It feels like I would almost need a half size larger with these socks but you may get away with just readjusting your shoe laces.

Can these be used to protect against dog bites?

These socks would Ansolutey not protect against dog bites.  This is not some kind of miracle fabric.   The use of Kevlar is probably mostly a gimmick, but they are comfortable socks In my work boots.

Question 4

Is there any difference between the white and the black colored Dickies socks? Why is there is a price difference between them?

Accepted Answer

There is a difference between the boot socks and the crew socks.  My boot socks aren't black, they are  mottled blue/grey with some yellow where the kevlar is.  The crew I got were white, and they are larger, unfortunately.  Too large for my women's size 9.  I got the smallest crew size available and they are still a size too large, whereas the boot socks were marked one size larger and fit better.  Go figure.  The boot socks are shorter in the leg, the crews go higher up the leg.  So, I actually don't know about the color difference, assuming you are looking at the same kinds of socks.  Check carefully.
