GoControl Smart Break Detector Glass, White (GB00Z-2)

Finally managed to pair this device but had to find and install a device handler in SmartThings.

Love it but it's not compatible with Wink just yet.

This device would not connect with the 2GiG controller. After speaking with Nortek Security, who manufactures the GoControl products, they said that all of their devices should have a sticker with a TX ID on it - if not, it's very likely that the detector is coming from an untrusted source. Like Nortek said, both of the detectors that were ordered from Amazon did not have the TX ID sticker, and neither could be detected by the 2Gig panel. Returned both of them, and ordered one from Fox Trading Company (on Amazon) and their detector contained the TX ID sticker, and worked.

Super easy configuration and setup with the Ring Security System

I spent so much time trying to get this to pair with my VIVINT system. Even the Technician could not get it to pair. Yes, it had a 4 digit code so I put 3 zeroes in front of it thinking it was the TX ID code and to get it to go into the Vivint system. It dropped each time and never communicated.

Works as expected

I could not get this to work with a SmartThing v2 hub even with the device handler written by Devcow. This item is NOT officially supported by SmartThings and when I chatted with GoControl support they said it is not their responsibility to make it work with SmartThings or any other hubs.After trying to get it to work for a week, contacting GoControl and the SmartThings forum, I returned it to Amazon.

Wow. I wish I would of read the reviews instead of going of what the item was marked under. This is not a gocontrol product and will not work. I now have to reschedule and make my way down to ups to return this item.
