Great for skiing
This water flask is lightweight and compact, allowing me to carry some water with me on the slopes while skiing. It's a great size to fit inside my ski jackets, and is soft enough to absorb some falls without damage. I got the 500 ml, which I feel is a great balance between holding water without introducing too much weight. At 500 ml, it holds a little over two mini plastic water bottles, which is enough to last me the entire day on the slopes. The shape of the bottle is great, even when filled up it doesn't bulge out of my jacket much. The materials feel high quality and sustainable, and I feel this will hold up for many ski trips.

Great for kids. smaller than the next size up
Love these Hydrapak Flasks. They're sturdy and leak free and a great value for the money. They're easy to clean after use and store nicely. Note: These do have a strong plastic taste unless cleaned properly before first use. a water, lemon juice, baking soda mixture works great to remove the plastic taste. Ensure you do this before first use with drinking water. Otherwise, this was a great product I purchased for my son to use while snowboarding at snowboard school at one of our local mountains. It fit great in his jacket and is smaller in heighth than the next size up. I add that because I had to search forevor to confirm before buying. It is in fact shorter than the 500ML version.

Works Great for My Purposes, but it failed after about 1.5 years
I purchased the 500ml and use it mostly for downhill skiing. It can be stuffed into a pocket, and I can often refill it at some point during the day. For several years, I had tried using a small camelback type pack water bottle for this, but found that it wore a hole in the back of my expensive Gore-Tex jacket, so I switched to this. When I'm using a pack on adventures further from a water source, I use larger water bottles or pack compatible camelbacks, This HydraPak worked great, and I was happy with it, until.... About 1.5 years into it's use, it sprung a leak. The leak is somewhere around the bottle cap, where hard plastic meets the soft water bottle. At that point, the bottle was useless. The leak happened while the bottle was in my pack on the way to the ski hill, leaving several items wet. I've had other water bottles fail, but this seemed to be a relatively short time frame. Still, everything else about this bottle worked fine. It stashes nicely, is easy to drink from, being soft is easy to pack, and is reasonably priced. The major (and it was major) drawback is that it failed. I purchased a new one (on sale). Currently, I'll give it 4 stars for now, but a second failure in similar short order would change that and make me look for another alternative.

Great foldable reusable water bottle!
Great little packable bottle! I’ve been using this for three months now regularly. Zero leaks and I have not been gentle. Hiking, cycling, traveling, and everyday walking. The carrying handle loop is sturdy and feels secure. I added a small carabiner which has been extremely helpful for clipping onto bags. The bottle did smell plasticky when it first arrived. The initial washing got rid of most of the smell and after about two more uses/washes, the smell was completely gone. This bottle is super lightweight and folds up to nearly nothing, easily tucking into its own carrying loop. Refilling is easy. The bottle is not slippery at all, even when it’s wet. It doesn’t stand up on its own, but is small enough to hold with one hand and also hold the loosed cap with your other hand. When drinking out of the bottle, you have to either suck the mouthpiece like a straw or squeeze quite hard. If you opt to squeeze, be prepared for a turbo jet stream of hydration. That is the price you pay for security so the mouthpiece doesn’t leak when the cap is flipped open. Fair trade. This bottle definitely gets condensation on the outside if you fill it with cold water on a hot day, but that’s no fault of the bottle.

Worth it, great for travel
Took this to Japan and while I didn’t use it there much (bc there’s not a lot of refill places and vending machine water was cheap) I used it on the plane. I always carry a bottle with me but this was convenient bc I use a carabiner and hook it to the seat flat tha holds the papers/literatire. Way better than shoving a big ass owala in there. The mouth is small so no ice, and it doesn’t keep water cold but it’s convenient. I do a LOT of festivals and outdoor events and I usually get a water bottle and smash it as I finish it and put it in my Fanny pack but this is better lol. It’s fairly easy to fill but of course not as easy as a bottle, you can squeeze the water into your mouth so you can share more cleanly, and there’s a cap for the top. Little plastic thing to be easy to hook onto. I wish they had a bigger mouth so You could add ice, but maybe that’s a choice so you don’t run the risk of ice piercing the silicone. Clean like you do your camelbak- glad I gave this a chance. This is something you’d use to just survive and you want to pack light or pack small, so you trade off ease of filling and getting ice /cold for the fact that it’s packable, clip able and ultralight. I might actually replace my camelbak for this at my next festival and wear a smaller/cuter backpack or hold it/clip to my fanny pack instead!

Great, flexible water bottle.
I was going on a trip and was unsure how available water would be during my adventuring, so wanted to be able to bring a liter of water if necessary, but didn't want to always dedicate bag space to a liter bottle. This is perfect because if you put in less water, it takes up less space. And since it's flexible, it fits in a bag much easier and also decreases in size as you drink. I also found it was great for the plane because I just kept it in my lap for easy access and it didn't roll away. Honestly, awesome. I kind of want to get the smaller one, but probably don't need it since I can fill the 1L up halfway. (Also, the 17 oz bottle is the same price as the 1L on here.) Mine tasted vaguely chemically at first. I washed it with dish soap and then froze it with lemon water, and it didn't make much of a difference. There wasn't time to try again before leaving, but over the course of my trip, the weird flavor disappeared. If the flavor had been really strong, I don't know what I would have done. Note: I saw a comment about how gross the mouthpiece gets and was worried, but it wasn't an issue for me. I used it for water only, and didn't really wash it during the trip (gross, I know) because the country I was in didn't have potable tap water. That said, after 13 days, the mouthpiece still looks clean.

Brand might have chemical odor issues
Very convenient for travel. I love these however I gave three stars because a different size I bought a few months ago is now smelling chemical and the water has a chemical taste, I have washed it well and tried a couple different filtered waters

Super convenient
I've been loving this hydrapak, been using it for about a year now. No leaks so far! It had a rubbery taste at first, but I washed it out with dish soap and hot water a few times, pretty thoroughly, and the weird taste has faded with time. Folds up real well and is great for air travel, hiking and skiing. Fits in the airplane seat pocket perfectly and I love being able to throw it in my backpack and jacket pockets without any issue. I actually bought a few and they made great gifts that I could fly with in my carry on. I purchased some carabeaners separately to gift with each bottle. My friend says they like to put theirs in the freezer for ice cold water! Love the squirty dispenser too - no more pouring water on my face! Just make sure to tip the water down into the cap when squeeze drinking so you don't squirt air in your mouth, it hurts!! And I like using it for cleaning when camping and need some water pressure. Knocked off a star because I find the cap difficult to put on, you have to thread it just right and the cap is not attached so it's easy to drop when filling. My friends have also complained about the rubber taste.
