My husband and I first tried an almost identical lotion to this one at the Waimea Valley Park botanical preserve in northern Oahu, Hawaii, which the locals advised worked as a mosquito repellent. We walked the entire jungle-like terrain for five hours and didn't get ONE MOSQUITO BITE, to our amazement. Now years later I am more familiar with why this ingredient combination works so well - both coconut and orange oils are natural pesticides, and lemongrass is a known herbal mosquito repellent. Thus, you have a fragrant body lotion that you can wear indoors as protection against those stray biting mosquitoes and flies, you won't be greasy and will smell nice. With summer and West Nile already upon us, it is of ultra importance to protect yourself from dangerous mosquito bites, and I much prefer all natural products incorporating essential oils as opposed to deet-containing poisons. This product also comes in a smaller travel or carry-along size which is a good "try it first, see if you like it" alternative. Update 5/22 Having used this lotion for years as my main facial moisturizer, I have just received the new version of the Lemongrass Tangerine which is my favorite in summer months as it also repels mosquitoes. As a mature woman I was pleasantly surprised to find that Coco Fiji has made this product more moisturizing yet non-greasy, after applying it my makeup goes on very smoothly and it enhances my appearance. Fabulous lotion I highly recommend, Lemongrass Tangerine in summer and Tea Tree Spearmint in winter. Great new pump bottle as well
