The blade is so sharp and perfect as a paring knife. Peels things easily and slices fruit paper thin. I have small hands and the handle fits perfectly in both my husband’s and my palm. Great balance, I am able to cut for long periods of time without fatigue or cramping. Not to mention the blade and handle are absolutely beautiful. This has made cooking a whole other level of enjoyable for me.

Not only does this knife stay sharp, and is easy to work with, it’s simply a very beautiful piece of cutlery. I’d recommend this one.

I so loved this knife that I bought 3 as gifts. Perfect size for pairing. I have small hands and sometimes handling hard to maneuver knives can be daunting. Not this one!!! Perfect sharp edge and ease of use handle. I try not to put in the dishwasher but it’s slipped a few times and it still sharp and handle comes out in great condition, although I wouldn’t recommend putting in the dishwasher in a regular use basis…, it’s a personal thing…

I have seen knives that cost half this price that come with an absolute stunning presentation this pails in comparison it’s like they threw the knife in this junkie cardboard box. Pretty sad for a shun knife. Meh…. Picture #2 represents the very nice and detailed packaging of the exact same pairing knife, but with the brown handle. So what’s up are the gray handle models like overstock or something? Literally my knife was what you saw dropped in a cardboard box no holder anything My unboxing rant is now over the knife is extremely sharp. It is well-balanced and it is beautiful. Buy it and get over the issues about how unfortunate the unboxing is. :-)

So many knives have a slippery handle. This knife is great for delicate work as it gives precision control from the size and weight of the knife PLUS the handle is amazing!

Needed a good kitchen paring knife. Read the reviews and decided on this one. Great value for the money! A bit more expensive than the average kitchen paring knife but absolutely worth it. Stays razor sharp after much use and easily restores razor edge with just a touch up using the sharpening steel I also bought. Very happy with this purchase.

Great knife, sharp and fits very comfortable in your hand. Only thing I didn't like about it is the the lettering that is etched on the blade is starting to fade.
