Great system and has good wireless range.
It seems reliable so far after using it for 6 months. The 4 remotes were reading all within a degree from each other and can be adjusted on the main unit if needed. I like that they report both degrees and humidity. We use it to measure temp/hum in our garage, inside two dog kennels in the garage and in our heated doghouse out in the yard. The main unit is inside the middle of the house and is about 60ft away from the farthest remote thatโs in the yard kennel. It has no problem maintaining contact. I do also like the flexibility they built in to let the user determine how they want the 4th remote set up: you can set it to alternate between the main unit (so in our case the house temperature) and the 4th remote. But you can also set it to just show the main unit or just the 4th remote (we set it for this last option). I want to compliment the manufacturer for building in this option because too often nowadays weโre dictated by software programmers working in their little cubical how to use our stuff... The only point for improving I can think of is to make it a bit easier to differentiate between temp and humidity. The display has nice large numbers but they are the same size and shape for both temp and humidity . Maybe make the humidity a little but smaller?

Accurate, easy to set up, works great
I've had this for a couple days and so far I love it. Setup was very straightforward and it's working great. During setup, all the remote sensors and the base unit were reading the same temp and humidity. Once I placed the remote sensors where I wanted them I had to do a little calibration (I used a Kestryll) but it wasn't a big deal. Since calibration they've been very consistent with the readings I get on my Kestryll. A few notes: - The remote sensors already had the DIP switches set up, which was a nice touch. - The manual says not to use rechargeable batteries, but I think that's overkill except for outdoor sensors in very cold climates. For those, use alkalines. For indoor sensors and for the base unit, rechargeables are fine. I use Eneloops or Amazon Basics rechargeables. - It helps to let the sensors acclimate for 5-10 minutes before making any judgements about whether they're all consistent. Out of the box I had one that was reading 5 degrees above the others, but after a few minutes they were all within a few tenths of each other. - The display on the remote sensor shows which number it's set to (i.e., 1-8) so you don't get them mixed up. - The calibrated temp and humidity are only shown on the base unit. The sensors show the unadjusted temp and humidity. For example if you've got a +2 degree adjustment on a sensor and the base unit is show 62 degrees, then the sensor will show 60. The only two suggestions I'd make for improvement are: - Use soft-touch buttons on the base unit rather than the hard, clicky buttons. - The base unit's screen could use a little more contrast, especially since it's not backlit.

Temperature sensor accuracy
The reason the four star designation is when the temperature sensors powered up they did not read the ambient temperature the same. Even though they were on the desk top next to each other the temperature they displayed were all different. I expected them to be at most within a 1/2 degree range and they were not. I wanted five areas monitored: outside, in the garage, in the unfinished basement, in the primary bedroom and in the living room. I am knowingly using an indoor unit outside (even though in a protected area where sunlight, rain or snow can not reach it) as such I have had to add a +5 degree addition to the displayed temperature. Ambient WS-10-X4 is nicely made and comes with four sensor units, all wireless and battery powered as is the base station. It does the job just not to the accuracy I desired. While I am not monitoring mission critical areas I still wanted the accuracy. The unit functions as was described in the product description. I acknowledge I am not using it in the manner it was manufactured for. I did not read the product description closely. I had looked at numerous weather sensor packages that could be used outside and I glossed over the fact these are indoor only. So make sure you read the product description and understand what you are ordering.

Excellent Weather tool. Very durable and reliable. Remote sensors connect throughout the house.
I my first Ambient Weather Wireless 8-Channel Set 9 years ago. It is still working great. One of 4 sensors, the one that has been sitting outside for 9 years and survived through a lot of bad weather, finally lost its hygrometer function, i.e. it shows 20% humidity all the time. Maybe some water got inside. Instead of replacing the 'bad' sensor I bought exact same product (the central panel and 4 sensors). Now I have 2 central panels and 7 good sensors. I can monitor the temp/humidity in every room of the house, in the basement and outside from both the den and the MBR. I recommend it highly. Good bang for the buck.

Temp gauges
Real nice instrument. I have readers in different sections of my attic to make sure power vents are working. I love this piece. Simple and easy to read.

Husband loves them.
My husband loves these. Put them everywhere - attic, crawl space, garage, green house, etc. The only thing I dislike about them is that he feels the need to keep me posted on all info from each one on a very regular basis!

Great temperature station.
I bought 4 more sensors to max out the station. I have them throughout my house including 3 sensor that have probes for my refrigerator/freezer and deep freeze. This station allows me to see the temperatures and humidity levels throughout the house. I do wish it had an AC power source as the batteries don't last long and getting it reset with new batteries to read all 8 sensors again can be a bit tricky. *** Update *** I found a solution for the power problem. I got a 5v AC adaptor (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09W96X88K?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) and a 5v battery back up (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B93MWT4V?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) which plugs in line of the AC adaptor. I then opened up the station and soldered some wires to the battery terminals. The AC adaptor comes with a terminal connector tip which I then used to connect the wires I soldered in. Connected it all up and voila. I now have AC power to run the station AND back up power in the event of an outage. No more replacing batteries and having to reprogram the unit.
