Best Value High-Yield Toner on the Market
I’ve been using this Brother Genuine High Yield Toner Cartridge (TN450) for years now, and it is, hands down, the best value for my Brother laser printer. I've tried to save money with cheap generic brands in the past, and I always end up regretting it—they either leak, install poorly, or run out halfway to the advertised page count. The genuine TN450 is different. It's incredibly reliable. The installation is always a painless, 30-second swap, and the print quality is flawless from the first page to the last. My documents come out with crisp, deep blacks and zero streaking. Crucially, it genuinely hits the promised 2,600-page yield. For a busy home office, that kind of consistency and longevity is essential and makes the higher upfront cost absolutely worthwhile. Stop messing with off-brands; this is the one to buy

Works well.
Works great on my Brother printer. The quality of print is good. Price is a little high, but quality is there.

High yield - may be. But that TONER LOW popup is very annoying
Like most people, I bought this TN450 when I purchased MFC7860DW as the feedback were consistent that the starter toner TN420 has such a short life. Well, we have been printing+copying from this printer at the rate of ~100/150 page a week (normal full text page). To my surprise, this TN450 only last 5 weeks when the dreadful "Toner Low" popped up. That was not even half of workload that it supposed to be !!! I know that it can still print several more pages. But that TONER LOW pop up is very very annoying. As it also show up on the PC screen every now and then (this is on top of my wife and kids keep saying . . . "Dad . . we've got toner low again !!!" I then order the refill kit and really examine how the reset gear work. So far, this simple plastic gear is THE ONLY thing that trigger toner low or toner life end message regardless of the actual amount of toner remain in it. As a test, I opened TN420 (after TONER LOW for 3 weeks) and pour out the remaining ink. My goodness, it was quite a lot. So, for those who has not yet experienced this. When you get TONER LOW message, I suggest you order your refill kit to be ready when needed. Then continue to print until it won't print anymore or the TONER LIFE END message comes up. Then you refill it. In fact, I suspect that even if TONER LIFE END comes up, you may be able to just reset that gear without refilling the toner, it will still be able to print for a while (providing that you can endure the bugging request from your love ones when they see that toner low thing). This uneasy situation (induced by a poor design from Brother) is the only reason I take one star out. Otherwise, printing quality and price is pretty good and comparable to other Brother MFC model. Now, I have my TN420 refilled and installed with the reset gear and the TN450 refilled/reset as well. I will update again in a couple of weeks.

The "Ink-cognito" Superstar of the Office
Pros: Never-Ending Ink-ness: Seriously, is this thing powered by a magic well? Crisp Like Morning Air: Prints so sharp they could cut through awkward office small talk. Cost-Effective: Costs less over time than my daily caffeine fix. Super Simple Setup: No fuss, no muss, no interpreting confusing hieroglyphics. Cons: Office Celebrity: May overshadow other office supplies, leading to potential paperclip uprisings. The Verdict: You know you're an adult when a toner cartridge makes it to your top 10 list of 'exciting things.' But, let's ink about it for a second—this Brother Genuine High Yield Toner Cartridge is the unsung hero we all need but don't deserve. Firstly, let's talk about its longevity. This thing lasts longer than my New Year's resolutions. Seriously, I've printed reports, memos, accidental copies of my elbow, and the occasional recipe for 'emergency brownies,' and it's still going strong. It's like the Energizer Bunny of toner cartridges. Quality-wise, this bad boy is the Leonardo da Vinci of printing. It gives you lines so crisp and text so sharp you’d think each page was a miniature work of art. If you squint hard enough, you might even see the Mona Lisa in your quarterly reports. But what about the cost? Yes, upfront it feels like you're buying a small piece of the moon. However, considering it doesn't dry out after a few weeks—unlike those generic posers—you're actually saving money. It's the equivalent of choosing a reusable water bottle over a mountain of plastic ones. Installation? Oh, you mean the 15-second break from your desk where you pull one cartridge out and plop another in? So difficult, right? Wrong! It's easier than explaining why you're late to a Zoom meeting because you couldn’t find the link (again). Now, the only con I can think of is that it might just outshine all other office supplies. Seriously, don't be surprised if the paperclips and staplers get jealous. You may want to keep an eye out for any rebellious behavior—like paper jams or disappearing pens. In conclusion, if your printer is the heart of your office, this Brother Genuine High Yield Toner Cartridge is the lifeblood that keeps it pumping. Get one, and you won't just be the employee of the month; you'll be the monarch of the toner kingdom. All hail the ink-cognito superstar!

Genuine Brother replacement, prints many pages
Some reviewers have asserted that this is not a genuine Brother product, but the one I received is genuine. It comes in a Brother cardboard box with a UPS return label for returning the old cartridge to Brother. It was easy to install and the three page test print-out looks fine. I did see something odd in the test pages, which you can print by hitting the "Go" button three times in rapid succession: it states that I am printing at 600dpi and am not in Toner Save mode, but when I go to Devices & Printers in Windows and look at Printing Preferences, it shows differently, that I'm printing at 300dpi and am in Toner Save mode. This is the first cartridge I've bought for this printer; the original cartridge printed 821 pages. I probably would have printed more pages if I had set it to Toner Save mode and to 300dpi sooner. I didn't do it until just a week before the toner ran out. Many reviewers here have commented on the toner warning light coming on much too early. This led me to wait too long to order a replacement - by coincidence the toner ran out the first time I tried to print after ordering a replacement! I have a spare printer, so it wasn't a problem for me, but if you don't have a spare printer, don't wait too long to order a replacement cartridge. Amazon's prompt shipping helped. I have Prime and used standard two day shipping, but the cartridge arrived the day after I placed the order. I do have two complaints, and am knocking off one star for them: 1) The inconsistency in reporting the DPI at which I'm printing and about whether or not I'm printing in Toner Save mode. 2) The inability to see the toner level or number of pages printed without using up three pages printing it out. On the positive side, the printed report is thorough, which I like. I just wish I could see the toner level and pages printed without using up three pages and that much ink. UPDATE: I've just ordered my second of this toner cartridge. Just like the first time, it's the genuine Brother cartridge, including the return label for recycling the old one. I'm impressed enough that I'm raising my original 4 star rating to 5 stars. I got 2,371 pages out of this cartridge, compared to 821 pages for the stock cartridge that came with the printer. As so many others have reported, you'll get warnings that it's almost empty long before it needs to be replaced. In my case, I think it was about 600 pages before it was really empty. Near the end of its life, the printing looked like the ink had run out, but just running the tab on the corona wire back and forth a few times solved the problem. This happened twice before the ink actually did run out. I have two printers (the other is an HP 8100 Office Jet for color printing) and do a lot of printing. This cartridge and the HL-2270DW printer it's in have both proven to be reliable workhorses.

Always Reliable
I've purchased this product time and time again and it always performs a high yield. I love the Brother, toner-based printers for that reason. The price keeps going up on this item over the years, but it still performs well.
