what size screw do you use on these? will a #6 work?

1/4 or #10 is perfect. Smaller screws will of course work too if the head is large enough. Washer recommended if not.

How do these attach? Do they come with adhesive tape or must they be screwed on?

For wood, use #14 flathead wood screws. Length matching the thickness of the cabinet or desired screw depth plus 1/2". I used these to replace the wood bases on an old pair of ~4 foot tall home theater speakers and they're solid as can be.

Does anybody know the hardness or the recommended load

I use 4 of these under 300 lbs. load without issues. I'm sure 100 lbs. per foot is fine.
