I have tried several brands of sea salt sprays with Pete and Petro being my favorite. The Costa brand was on sale for Black Friday and I decided to give it a try. I now have a new favorite, the Costa sea salt spray provides me the texture I'm really looking for. In addition, it does it with less sprays and smells great too.

The spray itself does a great job of giving that sea salt texture. I have used this for months and can’t get past the scent it has- it’s very powdery grandma vibes.

LOVE Forte products. I have very fine hair, and I’ve struggled with styling it for years. Forte products have made my life so much easier. And don’t be concerned about the size of the bottle because a little bit of this stuff goes a long way. I only use 3-4 spritz’s before drying my hair, and the result is awesome. Can’t wait to try their other products!

The spray does what it’s supposed to do — it gave me the beach-wave look and added nice texture to my hair. However, the smell is extremely strong. My friend sitting next to me kept sneezing from the scent, and I couldn’t even smell my own cologne after using it because the fragrance was so overwhelming. To me, it smells a little like potpourri. I ended up returning it because the scent was just too much, even though the styling performance was good.

It’s pretty and fit is perfect.

This has been a game-changer for the volume of my hair. And as a bonus, my Wife loves how it smells.

Purchased for $15.42 in October 2025. I bought this for my son, who still has a full head of hair — the following is basically his take after trying it out and reading what others said. He says it smells good, maybe a bit strong at first, but the scent fades after a bit. It gives his hair nice volume and texture without making it sticky or greasy. Works better on damp hair right after a shower. He thinks it’s great for getting that “messy but styled” look, though it’s not as strong as clay or texture powder. A few reviewers mentioned the bottle leaking a little when it first arrives, but it seems to stop after a few uses. The biggest complaint overall is that the scent is too strong for people who are sensitive to smells — even though it says fragrance-free, it’s definitely not. It’s a bit expensive for the size, but overall he says it works well and he’s happy with it. TLDR Smells nice but strong at first, adds solid volume and texture, and works best on damp hair. Not ideal if you’re sensitive to fragrance. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
