Great mic! I compared to Audio Technica 875r and PodMic.
I've been around audio for a while, and I am currently building a podcast setup for home use, as well as interviews and group chats. I have the Rode Podmic already, and while it sounds good, one of my biggest gripes has been that you have to be right on top of it for the best sound. If you move much, you lose a lot volume and sound quality. I've never liked that. I'm always reminding myself or the other person to get closer to the mic. I ended up getting an Audio Technica 875r short shotgun mic, and it is great. You can move around some and it stays pretty consistent, and it sounds good. I've listend and I prefer it over the Senhesiner 416. I really like it, but that made me want another one. However, they are $180 each, so I wanted to try to find something that worked as well without spending another $200. I figured if I was getting another mic, I also wanted to get a pair so the audio matched when I do a two person podcast session away from home. The 875r will stay with my home setup, and the new pencil mics would go with me or move around. Enter the Monoprice SC100. I knew it was cheap for a pencil mic, but I didn't know it would match this well to the others. These sound great. I also know you can only trust words so much, so I made a video showing a comparison between the Rode Podmic, AT875r, and the Monoprice SC100. Both with and without eq applied. I am blown away at how good it sounds. I don't see a need to get anything else, especially since I can EQ it. Shout out to the Focusrite Vocaster Two I also got today. I wanted something smaller and more portable over my Mixcast 4. The Vocaster only needs usb to work, so I'm loving this thing too. It also has a software interface where you can edit the EQ on your laptop. It is also fantastic! If you need a good vocal mic, this Monoprice is great. Not just for the price, it's just a good mic. Listen for yourself! I highly suggest a good set of speakers or headphones to listen to this. Listening over a laptop or cheap speaker will make them all sound about the same.

They punch well above their price, solid prosumer microphones
I A/B’d them against sE8 and at a CASUAL level, they sound nearly as good. They lack detail, smoothness, and bass in direct comparison. They could not be mixed up on a close listen. If you’re doing a solo acoustic instrument recording, these will be disappointing. But I’d be surprised if someone could tell them apart from mics that cost 10x more in a full mix. I see people had trouble with RF interference. I didn’t get it but I believe it. So be prepared to use these far from any computer/etc with a properly grounded preamp if you want to get the best out of them. Condenser microphones *require* phantom power to operate.

Phatom Power Requeire 48V
I was looking for a good XLR microphone to use with my Zoom F3 recorder, and I’m super impressed by the sound quality these mics produce for the price. They are really good! For those who have mentioned RF interference, I’ve noticed that this only occurs when recording audio in stereo. In mono, the RF interference is minimal and typically only happens if you touch the recorder or the mic. Personally, I’m using these mics for ASMR unboxing, and they work just fine. I hope this helps some buyers. P.S. This is my first review on Amazon after more than 10 years of purchasing here, and I believe this mic deserves more recognition. Thank you!

Good balance of price and fubctionality
Cant complain for the price, obviously not the best quality in the world but it did just fine in a 500 person + auditorium for hi-hat and crash cymbals, going into a mackie board. great for recreation

Seem to be made very well!
Incredible price for these microphones, perfect for overhead for mic’ing drums

Great microphones for the price! I was surprised!
Great value and sound for the money! Sounds comparable to much higher priced and respected microphones under equal comparison.

Work for Overheads
We order this pair to put as overhead microphone for our drums in church. The pick up nicely. Make sure you know how to use the gate on your mixer to prevent other sounds from reaching these.

THESE. ARE. HORRIBLE. Not worth even $1.
I'm getting back in to studio production and wanted to have another mic as the Audio Technical AT2021b that I have is, well, only a single mic. That mic isn't without its issues but one thing it doesn't struggle with is RF noise. I have a shielded cable from WBC that's covered in FOUR ferrite beads and with the AT2021b I have ZERO RF noise. With BOTH of these Monoprice mics connected there's so much RF noise that nothing is usable. I adjusted the gain to anything and everything I could, I tried with 0v and 48v phantom power, I tried a different space, I even tried a different recorder but THE RF NOISE IS STILL THERE. Their claimed dB for self noise cannot be true. The AT2021b claims a higher noise floor and I have no noise from that. On these, it's nothing but noise and RF interference (the sounds of wifi/cellular phones transmitting data). Sure, I could probably remove most of the noise in post but I shouldn't have to especially when other reasonably priced mics out there don't have this problem. I REALLY wanted these to work as Monoprice can make some good stuff at times and the reviews said they were great. I'm not sure what these reviewers had but it seems pretty weird that all I had was RF noise like crazy and they somehow didn't have that problem. Oddly enough, the gain has to be set lower that my AT 2021b which I loved but given all the high pitched beeps and hiss coming in on the things it doesn't matter. These mics make me seriously question anything else Monoprice. I'll be staying away for a bit because these were a MASSIVE disappointment.

Great short range mic
Great quality with a 6 - 8 inch falloff. Great for sampling and voice work. Just not good for anything at range. No self noise and a narrow range but still have quite a good bit of depth and bass
