LEGO Creator House (4956)

This set is wonderful for creating your own original houses based off of the base prints provided in the building booklets. I agree with prior reviews in that the more sets you can buy the better due to pieces for the garage doors, fences, windows and lights. Very classic. The doors are more like "storm doors" instead of the traditional solid doors or window light doors so you definitely want to design the front doors as hidden under the front porch or alcove. You also need two sets just so you can expand the length of the garage for the current CITY convertible. Kids love the garages. Have fun and enjoy yourself!

I wanted something special for my granddaughter who just turned 8. Her brother and her have many legos and she wanted something for girls that she could build and play with. This is it! She loves it,and the funny thing is, her brother does too. She likes that she can take the top off and play inside with her people. She also said one of the fun things was that she can change the look of her house. The front yard has been a hit with the flowers, walkway and mailbox. Also, the garage door opens and she has made a car to drive inside. I definately would buy this again. I think it is good for a range of ages.

Tough build but bought for a child younger than recommended. Lego's are generally expensive from my point of view. Is high profit really what the original intent was?

My 7 year old son was so excited to open his lego creator house on Christmas morning. He finished the first house by that evening. When he went to build his second house, he found that Lego had packed the box with 2 of the same instruction manuals. As a result,he has not been able to build the second or third house. (The second house was split between manual 1 and manual 2). I contacted lego and they told me to download the pdf. I am looking for a toy for my son to use that does not involve computers, televisions or video games. That is why we chose legos - they are such great brain building toys. But overall disappointed this "3 in one" toy turned out to be just one.

My daughter and I purchased this kit for my birthday (yes I love legos) as I wanted her to start learning to play with the smaller size pieces and have a kit we could do together. This kit was perfect as it showed her how to build a building and learn some structural basics for building with our free form kits. Immediately after finishing this kit she went and got our big tub of legos and started building an even larger house. She would not have had the confidence if she had not build this house. The pieces are typical lego, perfect and the instructions the same.

I really like this product. It is very neat because you can build three different houses. My children were able to almost build three houses at one time with all the pieces. It is the real Lego pieces too.They enjoy building ,then destroying and building again. It was lots of fun for me to help them build the houses. My boys like to build other things with them also. There was lots of different sizes that are longer that they did not have. We have enjoyed this item. It is Great.

My daughter was very interested in this style of lego, and after receiving it for Christmas, she played with it for a few days. It was somewhat difficult to find the little pieces depicted in the instructions and ensure that they aren't used in the incorrect spots, but the end result looked great. After building it (and a few variations), she tired of it and rarely plays with it again.

I bought a bunch of legos for grandson from the city collection he built them all and put them on his train platform for the city. Fun part building them not fun part is after they are built they are done unless you find a place like he did to display them. They are smaller then i thought they would be. He is getting older now, so now it is all about electronics. Lego should lower prices of these sets to allow all children the oppurtunity to own,create.

８歳になる姪の誕生日プレゼントとして買ってあげたのですが、今や大人の方が夢中になるという逆転現象が我家でも起こっています。 「デザイナー マイホーム」と迷いましたが、パッケージの華やかさと新作ということでこちらにしました。 赤いバケツ・青いバケツ・青いコンテナ・追加ブロックときて、初の大作に挑戦です。 総パーツ数731個はかなり作りがいがありましたが(全てのパーツを使う訳ではなく)、完成見本図に励まされながら、楽しく出来ました。 後半少し飽き気味だった姪も、完成品を前にした時の顔はやっぱり輝いていました。 推奨年齢７歳からとありますが、保護者が付いていれば５歳くらいでも大丈夫でしょう。 レゴ好きな人はもちろん、そうでない人も、物を作る喜びや達成感をぜひ味わって欲しいと思います。 早くも、次は「クリエイター 別荘」が気になっている今日この頃です。

LEGO, eben!

まだ無理かなと思いながら，遅いお誕生プレゼントで，夏休みのオモチャに買ってみました。 ところが，一生懸命数を数えながら，部品を探して組み立てたのにはびっくり。 脳を鍛えるとかいう変なテレビゲームよりずっと良いです。 ただ，面倒になると親にやらせようとするのは，迷惑ですが。。。 すぐに，オリジナル作品を作り始め，追加のピースを買うことにしました。 いろんな夢あふれる設計図を，安めの絵本にして出してもらえると助かります。

Tolles Wandelhaus von Lego. Mein Sohn hat sich sehr gefreut. Lego kommt immer gut an.

Well-designed, great instructions. Provided hours of fun for my 10 and 8 year old, both in building the designs and playing with them as part of their 'Lego Town' thereafter. For me, 'Creator' is the best of the Lego series and it is just a shame that it is so hard to get hold of these days.
