I've had these less than 12 hours but they seem to be working perfectly. I have a huge fish tank with Bettas outside the glass sliding door in the living room. We love to watch them at night, but with the cold weather we have been having here in South Florida I put some foam insulation on the tank to prevent heat loss on the sides, and back. The bottom, top and front were still exposed, so I got an electric blanket to cover the top and front to prevent heat loss, and I stuck an Aiicioo 24 watt 18 x 8 inch Under Tank Heater pad to the bottom. I wanted to raise the electric blanket off the front so that we could watch the Betta and his 7 newborn 'kids', but I was hesitant because I wasn't sure how fast the cold weather would pull away the heat. I also have two immersion heaters in the tank, but with such a large tank I had doubts as to their performance in this cold weather. I placed the probe of one of the thermometers all the way to the bottom and got about 62 degrees Fahrenheit. I then placed the probe of the second thermometer near the surface, just over 12 inches from the immersion heaters and got 89 degrees Fahrenheit. I found it strange that the temperature at the bottom was so low, so I checked the Lutron app on my phone and saw that the switch for the heating pad was off. That was around 1:00pm, so I turned the heating pad on and left it. Around 7:00pm when we came back from shopping I took this picture and the surface temperature had dropped to 87.9 degrees and the bottom temperature had risen to 72.2 degrees, and this is with the front exposed. This is exactly what I needed the thermometers for. Knowing that the temperature would continue to fall during the night, I turned the electric blanket on to prevent heat loss from the top of the tank. As you can see in the picture, papa Betta(I gave mama away because she was eating her hatch-lings) is sitting between the two immersion heaters, even though the surface temperature is at the higher limit of his comfort zone. Bettas tend to reside at the surface so I'm not too worried about the temperature at depth, nevertheless I'd like the bottom temperature to hit 76. The funny thing is that the babies don't seem to mind zipping around in the colder water at the bottom, but they tend to stick mostly from mid-level to surface. These thermometers will allow me to properly monitor the temperatures and only turn on the electric blanket when it is absolutely needed. It's true the thermometers don't have a back light, but light uses up a lot of power, and for the few seconds I'll be looking at the thermometers, I can use the light on my cell phone. Wonderful and simple product and I love that each one comes with two good suction pads. You can't complain at this price.

Work great. So much easier than trying to read a traditional thermometer. I use them on my aquarium setup. One monitors the aquarium 24/7 and the other I use during water changes to get temperature close to the tanks temperature. Works great buying a pair for that reason. People complained that the battery life is subpar....I've had mine for 5 months now, never turned off the main tank one, and still on same battery... I also wanted to test how accurate the temperature was compared to my other thermometers. Spot on and accurate! I recommend this 2 pair set for your aqaurium and water change bucket!

These are not heavy duty by any means, but they work perfect for the outdoor turtle pond. The reading is pretty accurate, easily accurate enough for the environment. Easy to use, no maintenance required until you have to change the battery. These tend to last me a few years each, which is highly acceptable for the price point.

This item works very well and very user friendly. It literally took 1 minute to unpackage, pop in the battery, then stick the sensor and display to my aquarium. The temp is accurate and very easy to read due to the nice larger size display. It is small enough that it looks nice stuck on the side of aquarium without blocking the beauty of the aquarium display itself. The display has buttons to easily change temp from F to C whichever unit you are familiar with can be displayed. I'm not sure how battery life is as I just received the item last week.

This thermometer is very accurate. I tested it against other thermometers. Long lasting battery life, and you actually get 2 for the price of one.

Great price fast shipping and works great. Very accurate I have one on my outside covered patio tank and one in the tank in my office.

Edit 2/23/21: ordered a 2nd one, this one's 1 degree more accurate than the first one. Which means my new one is showing me the exact temp, or the other way around. Either way, both are still technically pretty accurate and I hope it will be that way long terms. edit 2/18/21: The same one is still working well. Checked with a glass thermometer and this, they're exactly the same, so I'm hoping it's accurate. I still haven't changed the battery yet. Make sure you hold the power button for I think about 3 seconds, that's how you turn it off. Works really well, worth the price. The temp reading doesn't get messed up for mine if you switch from F to C and back. Suction cups provided seem pretty cheap, but that doesn't have anything to do with the product, though I wish they provided better ones. The product itself is awesome and useful.

a lot of extra wire hangning around my aquariums. not a clean look. better to get the stick on thermometers for aquarium. I put both in the same aquarium. one said. 76 F and the other 81F. so which one is accurate. ??? Not consistant and dont trust.

Small yet does the job. Easy to use. Been my companion in taking care of my flower horn, to make sure that I am giving and monitoring the correct aquarium water temperature. I think this could be useful also when checking water temp in the bucket before you give bath to your babies.

A great value thermometer. Really easy to set up and use. We put ours in our aquarium and the wire to the probe is a good length. The suction pads on display and probe are good. The display is easy to read and flick between C and F.
