Needed a jigsaw and this one matches the rest of my HPT Metabo tools. All have long battery life and are very reliable. No cords, no hoses to get tangled up in always a plus.

basic unit, works well. Just cut out a set of reindeer and a sleigh for the front yard. No cord is a blessing.

If u are in the industrial comercial buisness . Metano is where it’s at. The quality of this tool is outstanding . Super lightweight . And out powers other leading brands.

Had my wife pick up this exact item at Lowe's. Before she made it home, I saw it on Amazon for $40 less. Returned the other one to Lowe's and waited a few days for delivery. It didn't come with batteries, which was stated in the ad, and that was okay with me, because my 18v Hitachi drill batteries worked perfect, since Hitachi manufactures the Metabo tools. Right out of the box, this jigsaw worked flawlessly!! No complaints! This thing cut through 2x10 treated lumber with gusto! I can recommend this jigsaw and if it lasts as long as my Hitachi drill, I would jump for joy!

Works exactly as it should. I bought a coping plate to use for coping crown and base and it does well.

There’s no such thing as having too many cordless tools.

I choose the 18v w/2500 rpm because I did'nt know what to do with the extra 1000 rpm's on the 36v. Now that I have the 18 in my hand it is solid and the variable trigger gives control that I've never known. It blows away the dust and has a tight arbor that has no wiggle. In oscilation mode the rear roller support oscillates with the blade and gives constant support. The base plate is cast and much stronger than that stamped plate on my old jig that has bent & unbent many times. It has a heft to it and I'm glad I did'nt buy the bigger, heavier, faster, more uncontrollable "super" version. I'd rather go slow and smooth for a long time with a 36 volt in it.

I have heard that they call the Metabo tools "ProSumer" grade. I have had nothing but good things to say about my Metabo 18V tools, and this saw is no exception. It comes with a small plastic splinter guard, and I have never had one before and I have to say it works! the Blade Change is tool-less and effortless. The fact it blows the dust in front of the blade away from your cut line is WORTH the purchase. My "old" cordless jigsaw did not do this, and we were constantly blowing in front of saw (so safe!) and also using a shop vac to just help see the cutline.

I am very happy with this purchase. This is my third Metabo tool, I also have the impact driver and 3 1/4 inch framing stick nailer and have built 4 homes with it.
