Smaller than original but OK
Slightly smaller than the original Big Green Egg fire grate and not quite as thick. Does however fit in the fire bowl. Hopefully it will last OK with the heat it will be subjected to.

Fits a Large Big Green Egg Perfectly! Great replacement!
I seldom write reviews, but this replacement grate for my Large Big Green Egg is amazing. Our original grate that is 16 years old was warped, cracked, and broken. Decided I would try this. Itโs nice and heavy, fits perfectly. If you have a Large Egg, get the L-9 option and youโll be super satisfied.

Perfect Fit for Large Big Green Egg!
The Dracarys Round Cast Iron Fire Grate, BBQ High Heat Charcoal Plate for Large Big Green Egg is a perfect fit! Our original ceramic grate lasted years but eventually cracked under hundreds of heat/cool cycles. This Cast Iron grate should last even longer. So glad I made the decision to buy the Dracarys grate. The thickness is just right. Not too heavy. It feels sturdy in the bottom of my Egg and there is nothing to assemble. I just removed my old cracked grate and fit this cast iron grate right inside. I would buy this again in an instant if needed.

This is an identical match to the original part. It is heavy weight and coated, so it should stand up to a lot of years of use.
