The Thermacell mosquito repellent effectively reduces the number of mosquitos in the area. You start it up a little while before the mosquitos will be out (in my area it's at dusk), and there are noticeably fewer mosquitos. It works best when it's not windy, so the repellent can build up rather than just blowing away. There is no scent, unlike citronella candles or spray-on repellent; and your not spraying anything directly on your skin or clothes. Hopefully it's fairly safe to breathe. ;) The 3-pack of 40-hour refills really lasts a long time, as we only use it for a few hours in the evenings if we're going to be outside. The caps can be put back on after use to minimize evaporation when not in use.

This proved to work well in my back yard and garden that has plenty of mosquitoes. It is easy to use and has no odor or unpleasant effects. It is virtually undetectable and is a small compact design you can place anywhere. Yet it worked well for the entire half day we were outside entertaining. The refills are such an easy and convenient way to reuse the thermacell units. I will definitely be buying more of this in the future. They kept the mosquitoes away. I’m not sure how it works but it did work well.

Replacement cartridges can be pricey, though I was able to find larger, more affordable ones elsewhere (over 60% cheaper). Final Verdict: While it works, be prepared for frequent charging and ongoing costs for replacement cartridges. Consider looking for third-party cartridges to save money.

We live at the edge of town near dairy farms and mosquitoes have always prevented us from enjoy our backyard. We have tried countless products, most have strong chemical smells and don’t last very long. The Thermacell mosquito repellent is a small power tool that has allowed us to enjoy more time outside without pesky bugs. All you have to do is charge the device and turn it on. Almost immediately you will see the mosquitoes diminish around the area. The cartridge lasts up to 40hrs each as long as you remember to turn off the device. Refilling is as simple as removing the cap and snapping it into the repelling device. The device emits no smell or sound which is great. Would definitely recommend to anyone struggling to enjoy the outdoors due to pesky mosquitoes.

This is an incredible easy to use repellent I can use without the frills, smells, oils and topical mess. I like how it just clicks in and I can easily move it around the yard or front porch. The refills last 40 hours each!

love this thing. Works really well. It's so easy to use and I don't have to work about the kids or pets knocking over candles or the wind blowing it out. It not big and bulky and doesn't leave a scent. I love it being rechargeable and has replacement for the liquid rather then buying a whole new thing.

Surprisely it really does work for mosquitoes. I've used it several times with good results. The price has significantly increased over the last year. So not sure cost wise if it's worth it. Thinking printer cartridge $$$.

This misquotes repplent did absolutely nothing—mosquitoes were still everywhere. No noticeable effect at all. I regret buying it and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
