A very useful upgrade.
I installed one of these on both my Crosman 1322 and my 2240. This allowed me to install an after market Williams 54 peep sight. It will shoot a bit high at 10 yds with the original front sight. It pretty much hits right on at 25 yds. Really adds to the accuracy and the pleasure shooting these weapons. Rob T PS Scopes mount to this easily.

Worthwhile Upgrade / High Quality
I do love it. It makes the gun feel much more high-end, should improve accuracy and velocity, and provides a better option for mounting an optic. I put it on without much trouble, but the instructions included were for a different airgun than my Crosman 1322. Here are some tips: you will lose your rear sight. The new breech has a slot for a better rear sight, but the only decent options available are like $50-$70- so just plan on an optic. Also, you have to take a small screw out of your breech to remove the plastic one. Upon reassembly you don't put it back. There is a hole in the new breech, but it doesn't line up with the old hole at all. The new breech is held in place by the screw that used to hold your rear sight down. Also, there is tiny grub screw that goes in the top of the breech and presses down on the barrel to hold it in place. You'll want to make sure your front sight and also your transfer port are lined up before tightening it down. Overall, it was easy, but hopefully it will be easier for you now that you know this extra info. I recommend an extended bolt probe and bling handle at the same time. You'll get a few more FPS out of the probe and the handle upgrade is just fun.

Works great, I recommend it if you need a solid base for optics.
Works great, I wish it was much less expensive, but it will turn your Crosman air gun into a tack driver from a solid base for optics, etc.. If you do NOT want to use a scope, the plastic breech will suffice. Installation was easy, it is only like 4 screws. I wish that Crosman would sell the 2250 Rat Catcher, like they have in Europe, or a rifle with the steel breech standard with the package & the small skeleton stock. I cannot wait until the snow melts here in like the North Pole, so I can go hunting squirrels and maybe rabbits. If I had a good rest, I would take a shot at maybe 40 yards at small game with this upgrade & I also bought longer barrel, which makes it much quieter. The only thing its missing (if you have a 2240) is the abilities to load a Benjamin 10 round magazine, but single shot is fun too, & the single shot will allow the CO2 to warm up between shots. I had the barrel mount clamps & they are a waste of money, & this steel breech is a huge upgrade, but if it could be like maybe $20 - $30, it would sell much better. To conclude, it is worth buying if you want to put a bigger optic & need solid basr for precision shooting.Regards,George

Changed my Crosman 2240 into a whole different beast... 100% recommend this mod as #1 on your list.
Beyond all expectations. Item arrived well packed and I would say on time, but that is way inaccurate. It arrived well ahead of the scheduled arrival date. If I paid for the most premium shipping it would not have made a difference. This seller is clearly on the ball. I used the free shipping but received my item on the very first business day and well before the day's end.As far as he part goes it really is like a new gun now and it was money well spent. We were able to zero it for 25-30 yards with a laser mounted to the gas chamber. After adding an 18 inch barrel 35+ yards works and it is hitting a bit harder still. A great purchase indeed.Since the gun is at my retired parent's place with lots of visitors I decided agains the lighter aluminium breech which can be had from eBay for similar prices. They are actually more but come with a crappy rear sight so you don't have to buy the LPA MIM or something more expensive. For the slight weight savings and considerably less durable part I'd say this is still the better option unless you are very meticulous with your things and have no kids that could potentially drop or bang the piece around. Aluminium sight is not of LPA MIM quality also so most people would be spending double on that breech anyways and throwing the sight it comes with out.

wrong instructions, has burr's in machine work
Nice product , wrong instructions for 1322b , had to figure out , but not to hard. Almost forgot to put breech plug (aluminum machined part in the kit). Slide in back of new breech , with hole aligned vertical, then insert replacement rear sight screw, while holding breech down firmly and aligned, then tighten down screw. At first I was displeased, about loading of pellet. Unlike original which was very smooth. This unit was awkward. The pellet needed added guidance with your other hand. Then I discovered it loaded smoother, if I held pistol pointed straight up. This still was not satisfactory, time should I remove this downgrade ?But I still like this breech. What was causing this problem? After close inspection. Jeweler loupe in had. Right were the tiny plastic screw goes. The stepped hole edge was burred. I carefully broke the edge and smoothed it out. Tested. Now the pellet loads perfectly like the original beech. One needs to invest in a new rear sight, 3/8 dovetail type. For now I am using a reflex sight, which is pretty good. Anything Is better then original sight 😉Pyramid air shipped within 2days, FedEx delivered in 3 days. It was slipped in a bubbled pack enveloped. If on tight budget get a daisy red dot sight. You always get much better sights , but this will get you going on the cheap.

Great Upgrade to a Crossman .22 Air Pistol
While the instructions were a bit less than precise, I did manage to install this steel breech to replace the plastic original breech on my Crossman .22 Air Pistol. The result is a much sturdier pistol. This highly-recommended add-on is worth the time it takes to install it. If you understand how breeches work and can figure out how the breech on the pistol works and interacts with the frame, you wont have any problems figuring out the steps to install it.
