Is this overkill for a jeep xj's diffs? i ask cause it says heavy duty and shows a semi

The semi I suspect is for show. I used this on my 3/4 ton Ford F-250 because this specific weight was listed on the line order. I would consult your Jeep manual or is you have upgraded diffs and you heavy wheel I would go for it

i would like to know if the api is GL-4

"Exceeds API GL-4" does not necessarily mean it's safe for "yellow metals". Valvoline also exceeds GL-4 but doesn't specifically state that it's safe for synchro's. Is this OK for synchro's or not?

can this be used for a 50 cc scooter transmission fluid? the owners manual says SAE 90 and nothing else...

I don't think that there would be any problems using it in a lil scooter tranny some folks put it in high powered race cars
