Is this good for sealing a metal lid on a trash can used as a faraday cage? in other words, is it good to use for protecting electronics from an emp?

According to Amazon’s answers online, this 1.00mil (0.025mm) thick. So, if Reynold’s Wrap aluminum foil is ~0.63mil (0.016mm) and Heavy Duty Reynold’s Wrap is ~0.94mil (0.0024mm) then three wraps of this is more than equal to the three layers of aluminum foil that they call for elsewhere online to protect against EMP. Remember, when you seal the 'trash can' lid, the first layer goes on THEN you start the second layer about a foot past the first starting point (so the second layer overlaps the starting point of the first layer, that way no air gaps are left where the ends meet). Likewise, the third layer should overlap both previous starting points :-)

Question 2

If 2 strips of tape come into contact will they transfer electricity? i want to use this tape to power a model kit with leds, but remain swooshable

NO NO & NO!  I just read several comments stating that the glue is conductive. I will tell you with 100% certainty that the rolls they sent to me are NOT conductive. Period. I am sitting right here with my multimeter with a prob on either side of the tape and there is zero conductivity. Very disappointing as today was my day to shield and install all new electronics and pickups in my PRS Core Custom 24 guitars.  Now I have to wait for a new order to arrive and hope that the next people actually send me a valid, shielded product.

Question 3

If I line the inside of my Leather sole moccasins will the tape stick if they are brand new? For earth grounding

The shoes are already rubber, so you're fine. However, I'd recommend making an "undersole" by tracing out the shape of the sole on the copper tape, then cutting it out. It may stick the first time, but keep in mind your shoes are a damp environment with heat and sweat. The tape is cheap enough and theres enough of it on the roll, I'd say go for it!

Does it work to make a grounding mat

I used it to shield , and ground inside the cavities of my Telecaster guitar. It was easy to use, and made for a clean job. I liked it because there was no soldering involved, overlapping it completes the circuit. Hope this helps.
