Great battery holder
Worked perfectly and allowed me to substitute these sockets in place of PCB soldered 3V lithium batteries. Now I can easily replace the batteries when they go dead. Hole spacing worked out identical so the repair was trivially easy!

Nearly a Fit to a 0.1" pitch Perfboard. Stiff Battery Insertion
The arrangement of the two contacts is not a perfect fit to any pair of holes I could find on a perf board. Perf boards--like most through-hole electronics--have 0.1" pitch. That's the distance between holes. Of course moving around diagonally makes for a slightly different calculation, but it is not perfect. However, it is close enough that very slight bending suffices to make it fit. So, with slight bending this tight clip can be stable enough that (I think) the battery can be inserted and extracted without dislodging it. Conductivity seems sufficient, although I am not checking that stringently. The design looks clever to me, too. It is also very light weight and strong.

Replacing all the soldered ones on my keyboards and modules.
Excellent.

Working Great So Far
Used this to change out the battery in the GameCube. The legs were off by less than a millimeter, it was a snug fit but it works!

Plastic Case does not mount flush to PCB without modifications.
These have a very tight spring, like others have stated. This is a good thing IMO, as it prevents hard use from momentarily disconnecting the battery. That said, the actual construction of the battery holder prevents mounting it sitting on the plastic pads made for it. The power posts have a narrow end, but near the base, triples in width and is thicker. This thickened area is about 2mm above the plastic itself, preventing mounting these in small containers with minimal area above the battery, without issues. Because of the thickness of the base, grinding these with something like a dremel seems the best option for space sensitive builds...

Fits Yamaha DX7 Synthesizer with some bending
Purchased these for various electronics projects, but mainly for a battery swap on my vintage Yamaha DX7 synthesizer. The original battery was beginning to corrode and needed to go, so I ordered these hoping for a decent fit. I was able to make this fit the openings in the PCB board by bending in the solder legs. Itโs a tight fit and I had to bend some surrounding components over to offer a little more clearance for this battery holder, but it went in and works great. The CMOS battery swap is a common and mandatory job for the DX7 or any vintage computer or piece of electronic equipment that needs a battery to remember onboard settings saved to internal memory, and I can safely recommend this holder for the job. It has added a little bit of resale value and a nice quality of life improvement to this old synthesizer.

Perfect solution for my Finalizer Plus
The battery in my old t.c. electronic Finalizer Plus died and I had to initialize the unit every time I turned it on. The stock battery was soldered straight onto the PCB and I was unable to solder a replacement onto the board. This battery holder made it a snap; I soldered it onto the PCB and can now replace the battery with ease without any soldering.

Solid holder if you have clearance.
Arrived exactly as described, and work well. Note that the holder doesn't sit fully flush on a PCB, so you might have a clearance issue if you try to put them in, say, a SNES cartridge. For other uses however, they are sturdy and hold the battery securely.

Does not work in N64 games
Giving it a good rating because there's nothing wrong with these and they never advertised these to work with N64 games. They're just slightly too large.

NOT suitable for SEGA Genesis cartridges
NOT suitable for SEGA Genesis cartridges. The space between solder tabs is too great. Bending them didn't help.
