Banza Shells & White Cheddar Mac and Cheese - High Protein, Gluten Free, and Lower Carb Protein Mac and Cheese - 5.5oz

My favorite healthy pasta. Tastes as good as regular pasta.

I love the Banza Mac and cheese for meals when it is just me but I do not feel like cooking. I like the texture and the flavor of these. I cannot find them in a local store, so I continue to order them from Amazon. I have celiac disease and follow a strict gluten free diet, however, I also have a rice allergy so finding pasta that doesn't make me feel awful is hard to find! I will say of my 3 children in my house, one of them does not like these noodles. However, if offered to the other two, they will eat them. (I love them, so I think it's about individual taste buds.)

I wanted to try this after trying the regular pasta from this brand to see how the sauce tasted because I enjoy the pasta from this brand so much. If you're used to a creamy, thick sauce, this isn't that kind of party. The sauce coats the noodles pretty well, but it isn't the thick cheese sauce from Velveeta, Easy Mac, or something similar. The flavor was a little bland, so I added a little za'atar and some red chili flakes, and that made it taste much better. This is the only brand I've tried for noodle alternatives that have the same bite as regular pasta and the same chew, so it's an easy choice for me. On top of that, when prepared, a box of easy mac has 1000 calories, depending on milk and butter options. This brand has half the calories, more protein, and more fiber; it's more expensive, but to me, with all the added nutrients, this is totally worth it. I can eat the entire box and not be kicking myself after for the caloric intake, if you need a little more volume or need to feed more people with this, add chicken or shrimp and spinach and you're all set.

This is the best tasting gluten free pasta we've found -- doesn't fall apart or get mushy when cooked -- has a low g index -- and the white cheddar sauce is delicious. It's appropriate for those with celiac disease or diabetes, but especially for those with both.

I really love this pasta. It is a great GF alternative and provides the protein boost I look for. I’m not gluten free so I can not verify the celiac safety of the product but the taste is really good.

It's hard to find tasty gluten free pasta with good texture. This one is great! The cheese sauce is delicious and not terribly fake tasking (looking at you Kraft Mac n cheese)
