What cord is need for the recorder and how will it connect to my laptop?

I did not use this to record calls. I used it to receive incoming calls for my work-from-home business. The phone part has a jack that plugged directly into a separate device that included my modem and computer. The sound quality was excellent. I used this for at least 3 years without having to replace it.
