Bought this for my husband as he hated the knives we had in the drawer for slicing up the large pork loins we purchase at Costco. He is in love with this knife, perfect size for breaking down whole chickens or cutting up pork loin. Also versatile enough to use for veggies. Keeps its edge well so far, though we've only had it since December and it's March now.

It doesn't get as much use as some of my knives since I using for carving meats rather than chopping, but even so its my new favourite knife. The grip is awesome which is really helpful when things get a little slippery. The edge has held up well for several weeks not (time will tell). Its very sturdy and feels well made.

Great knifes since I have 10" that's just a bit too long for most carvings and this 8" which is just perfect for everyday carving.
