This external drive serves my needs nicely
I am very happy with LaCie 1 big Dock. It serves my needs of keeping space free on my laptop by storing all my video and photo work externally. Easy set up and functionality. I highly recommend it.

Stopped functioning after a few weeks use
At first, this seemed like the right backup solution for me. But soon after starting with it, it stopped working with the 6 foot cable I'd bought for it, and after a couple more weeks it wouldn't work even with the supplied cable. The disk stopped rotating when connected to power. I didn't especially want to return it, since it has my backed up data on it, so it looks like a write-off. Really disappointed.

Our studio needed more digital storage!
This unit is working out just great. We could’ve bought a larger capacity drive, but I figure by the time this wears out I’ll need a bigger drive anyhow! Very easy to use. Very easy to set up. I love it! I have an audio recording studio and we use this drive with our ProTools sessions. Never a problem!

Do not buy from Amazon, buy from locals where you leave.
LaCie hard drive was faulty. Did not work so I returned it and I asked for refund. That was more than a month ago. Amazon did not give me my money back and you can’t ask them why because there is not customers contact. They got hard drive and got my money. People should think before buy from Amazon.
