Great, but design flaw obscures interface elements at the bottom of the screen
In many ways this a perfect addition to an iPad mini. It matches the iPad stylistically, is sturdy and the keyboard works well. What keeps me from giving a 5 is there is a design flaw. Because of the way the hinges work, it is impossible to select input controls on the screen that are the bottom of it in landscape mode while the keyboard is attached. For example, if one is browsing Facebook using the FB app, the control that allows switching between the home or news feed is at the bottom edge of the screen. It is simply impossible to get to those unless one actually slightly moves the iPad up within the hinges. I am going to try to see if a stylus helps, but buyers should be aware of this.

Unreliable
The bad: The delete key stopped working after about one month. The clamping mechanism to hold the iPad is not a nice fit. It doesnโtโ line up well with the iPad and tends to move. The hinge does cause you to loss some of the functionality of the lower portion of your keyboard but can be lived with. The USB port is on the opposite side as the iPad which is not the end of the world but is a little clumsy when recharging both units at the same time. The good: I liked this keyboard! The battery seemed to last well for my continual use. The backlit keys are a must for travel. It was heavy enough to counter balance the weight of the iPad when sitting it upright, some other keyboards just fall over. The only downside is it tends to be littls extra weight in your hand carry. When the unit is aligned as well as possible it looks nice. The color matched my iPad almost perfectly. In my case however, beauty was onlรฝ skin deep. My keyboard may have been an anomalty and my rating may seem harsh, but the reason I gave it a 1 was because it only worked correctly for a month. I took it overseas where I did not have an easy or cost effective way to replace it so reliability was the most important criteria for me.

Looks Great Functionality OK
I really liked the keyboard, very classy looking and the weight was good. The keyboard worked fine, Bluetooth connected ok. The tablet slides into a couple of rubber sleeves, when it is fully seated its nice and snug. But, I have apps on my tablet that have icons on the bottom of the screen and when I try and touch them, they won't open because the tablet is seated down too far. Access is blocked by the back of the keyboard. So I need to slide the tablet up, maybe a 1/4" to 3/8" to access those icons. Then when its slid up, the rubber grips don't hold it tight enough so it slides down on one side and is sitting there all cockeyed. The battery doesn't last near as long as my old Logitech. I really like the look and style of this one, but the functionality, at least for me is not optimal.

Some keys fail to work properly.
I really want to like this product. It has a nice hard shell and simple attachment to the iPad mini. The battery last a long time and it is great for planes or small spaces when traveling. The problem is the electronics inside. I am on my second one in the same number of months. Both have bad keys. The first one had keys that would stick and repeat. This one has keys that send side by side keys. I would press m and get mn. I would press n and get the same mn. The backlight also failed on this one from the start. I really want this to work and hoping I have experienced all the lemons. I will try one last time.

Game Changer!
I have only had this keyboard for a few days, but am VERY impressed with it. It quite literally will change how I am able to use my iPad mini 4. I know some people have complained about not being able to press anything very low on the screen (which I agree, can be an issue at times) however the usefulness of this keyboard far outweighs this minor issue. Honestly, I had a stylus sitting on my desk that I had bought over a year ago and noticed it. Works like a champ! And this is only an issue for someone with larger hands. Again, regardless of that small issue, this keyboard ROCKS! No other way to say it!

Great, sexy keyboard! Is the inaccessible bottom section an issue? Read on...
As a good a keyboard / case as you're going to find for iPad. Solid construction, all aluminum, matching colors, good feel. The unit looks great when it's all together, like a mini "MacBook". All around, I am satisfied. However, it's not perfect. As many have mentioned, the bottom, say, 5%, of the screen is not accessible when the keyboard is connected because of how the hinges are designed. Many people have posted work-arounds to get to the Control Center (which is normally accessed from the up-swipe from the bottom of the screen) but all the suggestions are silly. If you need the Control Center, double-click the home button (the key in the upper left-hand corner) and voila. Now this doesn't help if you are using apps the rely on this bottom 5% of the screen. Here's some advice: use your iPad a bit, and go in and out of the apps you will use the keyboard for the most. If they rely on the bottom 5% of the screen, this keyboard will cause you headaches. I wasn't bothered by it (my use case is as a point of sale terminal and some basic note taking, nothing more) so I was fine. Other than that, this is REALLY close to a 5-star product. I know the company can make this a 5-star with a bit of engineering. I'm cheering Brydge on. I know they can and will do it because they have put a lot of love into designing this already.

I love this thing!
I love this thing! It just does it right. The feel, Look, quality , functions, build, all top shelf. What more can I say, if you're looking for a keyboard for the iPad mini 4.....well they look like they were made each other. Very happy, highly recommend.

This is by far the best keybord you can get for an ipad mini. Awesome build quality but there is a BUT. 1) I think they should give you a thin bag to pop it into when it's not being used and when you have your ipad off the keyboard. I bought my own. I don't mean a protective case I mean a lint bag of sorts just to keep the dust off it so that when its in your laptop bag or a case the metal cant rub on any other metal. 2) Where the flip up hinges fold back into the keyboard rubs bare metal on bare metal. This isn't clever, there should be some rubber there surely as in a very short space of time this will look worn! Apart from that its superb.

Excellent product, the best of two or three that I have had in the past. I bought this one as my previous keyboards were only compatible with earlier versions of the iPad mini - extremely satisfied with this product.

I wasn't sure how often I would use it but it spends more time attached to my iPad than not. Very light and when closed turns the iPad into the most compact laptop around. Exactly what I wanted. The colour is a an almost perfect match for Apple's Space Grey. The only complaint is that the corner keys, especially the tiny '1' key, are annoying to hit since the edge next to it is raised. I'm getting used to it and accept that some compromises had to be made for compactness. I'm very happy with it. The keyboard and iPad fit perfectly together into this case: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FCJJ1Y1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

On the whole pretty pleased with this. It's such good quality and very responsive that it outweighs a few negatives which I will mention for anyone buying. 1. The iPad slides into the hinges really well but unfortunately it means that some of the screen isn't easy to access from a touch perspective without lifting iPad out slighly. Not a disaster but for me a mild inconvenience. 2. The dollar sign is where the pound sign should be and so you access the pound sign on another key. Again not a complete disaster but I would have liked no dollar sign and a British version of the keyboard. I would recommend this product - it's been a great buy. Probably a bit expensive in reality but exceptional workmanship and quality materials make it worth it for me. Having bought "great value" things in the past which I've sent back I'd rather pay more and not send back.
