Great alarm clock, pros outweigh the cons for me
I have been using this alarm clock for about 3 months now. I wanted to give my honest review on this product. My Pros: - The alarms are a great selection and are pleasant to wake up to in the morning (especially compared to my old alarm clock) - I LOVE the sunrise simulation. I have it as my first alarm - no sound. So I'm waking up to a peaceful sunrise. It's been great for me, especially during the winter months when it's really dark and I don't want to get out of bed. It's a nice gentle way to wake up in the cold months. - Pretty east to set up and use. As I stated before I have the sunrise simulation as my first alarm and have it go for 20 mins before my second alarm goes off to tell me to get out of bed. - You can change the alarm time without having to go through all the motions of selecting your alarm sound, volume, length of time, etc. It took me a little while to figure that one out. My Cons: - The USB cord is on the shorter side so if you need a longer cord you will need to get one. - I do wish the numbers that show the time were a little bigger, they are smaller than what they were on my last alarm clock and for those with glasses it's hard to read the time from across the room if I'm wanting to check the time after waking up in the middle of the night (I have my alarm across my room so it forces me to get out of bed and not go back to sleep (but lets be honestly it doesn't always work lol)). - The instructions state that you can only push snooze 5 times. So if you really struggle to get out of bed and need more than 5 snoozes this may not be the alarm clock for you....or get a second alarm clock, like your phone alarm for extra security???? I have not used the sleep mode so I cannot give an opinion on that function. Overall, I really love this alarm clock and can live with the cons as the pros outweigh them immensely for me. The sunrise simulation has been beyond incredible in helping me to get out of bed in the mornings now. I would even say this would be a great alarm clock for those whose window doesn't get/face the morning sun.

The Perfect Alarm Clock
This is the perfect alarm clock, well worth the money. I bought the wood version because it goes well with my room. It looks great just sitting there as a clock and then there’s all the great functions it has. You can set two separate alarms which is great, and with each alarm you can change what sound it makes from birds chirping, wind chimes, a normal alarm sound, FM Radio and more. You can change how loud it is and how bright it is, and you can change what color it shines when the alarm goes off. It has a sleep mode and you can also use it as a lamp which is great for reading! All in all I’m very happy with my purchase and there’s no reason to get another alarm clock as this has all the functions of a normal alarm clock plus more. No, I was not paid to write this review, I simply love it that much. I use almost all of its functions, and getting up in the morning is so much more soothing. Thank you to JALL for making this incredible product and at such a reasonable price!

Great Dupe for Hatch Alarm Clock!
This alarm clock does the job. It’s pretty easy to install, has multiple sound options (birds chirping, ocean waves, etc), and increases light at a gradient for a slow and natural wake up. This clock definitely gets me up in the morning. The “night mode” is quite relaxing as well; I love putting it on a 1 hour timer with cricket sounds. My boyfriend was shocked when I told him they weren’t actual crickets from outside! The one complaint I have with this clock is the length of its sounds. The sounds replay after only a few seconds, ultimately making them annoying to listen to after some time. In addition, the clock isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as the Hatch Alarm Clock, as it’s made of plastic. However, for the price point, this clock is a stellar deal, and still looks pretty cool (especially the wooden one!). If you’re interested in getting a sunrise alarm clock and have considered the Hatch, I’d recommend you give this one a try. It’s easy to install, works well, and looks sleek and modern.

*actually* changed my life
I am not a morning person and I never have been- and, I’m not the kind of person who writes Amazon reviews, but this clock has changed my life. I refer to it as my “magic alarm clock” every time my family remarks that they are surprised to see me up before the crack of dawn. I used to be the kind of person that would silence my phone alarm over and over again until I had 10 minutes to get ready and then I would regret every decision I ever made. I set this clock up across the room on my dresser so I have to get up to turn it off and I haven’t gotten back into bed once. Immediately after implementing this clock in my routine, I went from waking up at 9:00 am every morning (groggy and grumpy) to waking up every morning at 6:00 am with a bounce in my step. The light peacefully wakes me up before the alarm ever goes off (and when the alarm does go off I don’t mind it because it’s beautiful bird song). It was easy to program, you can change the brightness of the time reading so it’s not glaring orange at night… I have no complaints. Best purchase I’ve ever made.

It does the thing.
I kinda have a lot to say about this alarm clock. I have a hard time waking but to just sound. I sleep in a room that has zero natural light, so i wanted to see if getting an alarm that imitates natural light would do the treat and it does! But here’s the problems I have.. I still have not figured out how to change the light color. What the instructions say to do didn’t work, so I’m not sure. I was hoping to set different colors for the different alarms or for the fall asleep feature, but at this point I’m not really convinced it changes colors or if this is even something it can do.. still working that one out. When you turn off the alarm, the whole thing turns off.. okay that sounds stupid, but the whole point of this was to bring in light and I wish I could just turn the noise off and still have the light on. I have accidentally went back to sleep because of this lol.. that’s more of my problem, but I’ve now gotten in the habit of turning my lamp on before turning it off so whatever. The sound I agree with most is a little annoying. I have it on the birds chirping, or I should say one bird.. lol he’s on a 3 second loop of the same sound.. my husband joked that there must be only one bird in that forest that has one tune, we have named him Paul now after hearing this one note bird several times haha. All in all it does wake me up a lot easier than regular alarms, but for the $55 I paid… I just think that’s overpriced for what it is. I feel like this would be a good alarm for kids, but I see where adults have found this annoying.

Best Value Sunrise Alarm Clock
I bought the alarm clock labeled "Brown" or the ACA-002-B model. This specific model is the best value out of all the sunrise alarm clocks in the $20-50 range. I actually prefer this one instead of the more expensive brands. Also, this alarm clock is the color white and not brown at all. PROS: -You have two alarm options. This is fairly standard with the JALL alarm clocks, but I think it's helpful to call out. I like to set two alarms in case I want to sleep in another half hour/hour. -The sound quality is very good with this one. It sounds much clearer than the very popular JALL K8 version. -The sound options themselves are really nice, and they continue playing for a while before the sound restarts and repeats itself again. That was what made me return the K8 version; the sounds would play for 3 seconds and then restart again, so it was incredibly repetitive and a bit annoying. With this model, it feels more relaxing and I really feel like I'm waking up with birds chirping out my window. -The brightest setting to wake up to is pretty bright. It's almost a white light with a pale yellow hue. I use blackout curtains in my room and with the brightest light setting, I do feel like it is bright enough to wake me up. -When it's in waking up mode, the light and sounds fade in very gently and it's not overbearing. It's a very gentle wake up yet I definitely wouldn't sleep through the alarm. CONS: -For this model, setting the time and alarms is slightly more difficult to maneuver compared to the K8 model (you need to hold down one button and then click abother button to get to the time setting). You definitely need to skim the first page of the manual to see which buttons to click, however, I was able to get it after 30 seconds and then it was easy from there. It also comes with sticker labels in case you want to label the function of each of the buttons. Bottom line, this "con" is not nearly enough to make me rank this model below the K8. Hands down, my favorite affordable sunrise alarm clock.

I really wanted to like this alarm clock but....
1) Why did I get this alarm clock? I live in another country than the US, and it is a country where you cannot go outside very much due to the weather. Especially since quarantine, I have spend most time inside, and my circadian rhythms are totally off. I thought a daylight alarm clock would help me wake up, which is a big problem these days. 2) Why don't I like this clock? If you want just an alarm clock that makes a light, plays ambient sounds or the radio, this is fine. However if you want a daylight clock that simulates a sunrise to wake you up, imho, this is not it. Why? When the alarm goes off the light goes off at the same time instead of going off instead of time and slowly waking you up prior to the actual alarm, which is what you would think a sunrise alarm would do. Additionally, the alarm volume is non-adjustable once it is set at 'setting' time, so when the alarm goes off, you are stuck with whatever volume it was set at. This is a bit annoying, because the alarm and light go off at the same time, and if the sound is set at a high volume, which most people probably set it at to wake up (ie: it IS an alarm clock to wake you up), not many people are going to lay in bed with the alarm blaring at them for ten minutes to enjoy the simulated sunrise (that didn't happen. maybe I set mine wrong, mine just got bright immediately. This is another issue, the settings. I'll get to that). Anyway, not what I was expecting. As I said, basically a radio clock alarm with a light, but on a radio alarm at least you can adjust the volume. Next issue is/are the settings. Now I have to say, I actually bought another almost identical one of these clocks from our local amazon. It was even harder to set and the instructions were harder to understand, and etc. At least with this clock, if you follow the instructions, it actually DOES set. But it is a lot of instructions and settings for an alarm clock. It does look like their support is available through email. I have not tried it. But there is no way to fix the flaw of the basic clock design... or I would contact them. I also do not know how this got so many great reviews OR how in any way it got compared to the Philips or other similar daylight alarm clocks as a replacement. IT IS NOT IN ANY WAY A REPLACEMENT. If that is what you want and you are reading this, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I have, and now I am out whatever this cost, I cannot send it back because it would cost me at least what the clock cost to send it back from overseas, and now I STILL have to buy the other clock. Anyhoo, hope this helps someone before they buy. Wish I had read a review like this before I woke up with this clock screaming in my face this morning. NOT a fun experience.

Sort-of-Works, Sort-of-Doesn't
Waking with a light is somewhat pleasant, much better than the jolt an alarm provides. Then again, enough smartphone alarm apps exist that can play familiar music with a gradually increasing alarm that this is not unique here, it's not competing solely with the old-school clock radio from the '70s. The Odds: - I don't use any of the sound components for waking up, only the light. I believe the time you set for the alarm begins the audio, the light triggers at a user-defined interval prior, up to an hour. This makes programming dumber than it has to be: I want it the light to trigger at 7, and run for an hour. That means an hour after 7, 8 AM, is when the music triggers and when you set the alarm for. So, I have to set my alarm for 8 with a 60 minute "preview" of light. This is dumb, and it shouldn't have to be this way. Why does the light have to shut off for the audio to work? Stupid. Surely it can multitask, and some people might actually want to wake up to something like nature sounds accompanying their artificial sunrise. - It seems to lose about 2 minutes a month. That's just ridiculous for any modern clock running off wall power. - It's too light weight. Fortunately, the button people are most likely to smack, the snooze button, is dead on top. All the other buttons are around the sides, and require two hands to manipulate. A mild inconvenience, but I've never had any clock radio or general alarm clock that required two hands to use all other buttons on. The Bad: - With the clock set to dim, well, sometimes it reverts to full brightness. - At brighter maximum levels for the wake light, I sometimes see a flickering. For something solid state and LED, running off wall power, it shouldn't be that way. Super annoying and frustrating to wake up to. - With the clock set to dim, brighter wake light levels are bright enough to render it unreadable. Since the brightness of the clock randomly changes, why not have it get at least as bright as the wake up, then after, revert back to its proper setting? I mean, other than the fact that it can't hold the proper setting to start with. - There are two alarms. I have both set to deliver 60 minutes of waking light. One shuts off after 60 minutes, one goes longer. No way should that happen. Poor QC? Poor programming or development? No idea, but just a poor showing, overall. At least with his I know that wakeup lights work for me. I also know I want a higher quality one.

Great for light sleeper
This is what I was looking for. Have light sleep and the light turns off 10 min before alarm and 80% of the time I wake up with it. The actual alarm is also great with no panic sound.

Great functionality, arrived with broken snooze button
Features are easy to understand, works as intended. The only issue is the snooze button arrived broken and only functions as an alarm clock.

Fucionamento
Produto bom. Alarme, radio, luzes em funcionalidade. Só tenho dificuldades, são minhas, não do produto, em assimilar suas funções.
