This worked great, I generally hop between Overture, Creality, and Egeloo. I did find this a bit more brittle if you are printing delicate things (like mini figurines), so removing supports was more difficult. But it had a pretty good color, and shine to it. Definitely not the level of "gold" like fake pirate treasure coins you might by. It would be hard to describe so I'll just not try to do that. Printed great, no issues with feeding or clogs. Stuck the plate without issues as well. It's not high speed, which I'm more spoiled with though. So 70m/s vs 200-600m/s is a big difference. But generally it seemed to be able to handle faster speeds up to maybe 200 but depends on your printer.

I must give this company 5 stars for their high level of support which goes beyond what other filament suppliers might do when there are problems. In fact It may be that my own printer (Ender 3 Pro) is what’s responsible for the issues which kept me initially from being able to get any successful prints out of this purchase. I contacted the company and was offered a replacement roll as well as graciously sending me the recommended slicer settings. Iris has been patient and helpful. Thus far I’ve been able to successfully print some small pieces from the replacement roll using a seemingly endless number of variations of slicer settings. It is possible that the original roll may have been from a bad batch or maybe something changed on my printer which just happened to coincide with the purchase and use of this filament or maybe the Gold Silk just happens to be much trickier to work with than other materials. It is significant that when printing the same parts with the same printer, all other PLA and SILK filaments including one other Overture filament, always print perfectly for me without any clogging of the hot end. But as soon as I switch to the Overture Silk Gold, it is difficult to get a decent print. It’s perhaps a significant fact that printing with the replacement roll did somewhat decrease the frequency of clogging. Also changing the various parameters in Cura and running seemingly endless test prints on each change over the last few weeks has resulted in being able to successfully printed some objects. Take what you can from this incomplete write-up, because I am still unable to determine whether this material just doesn’t tolerate retraction or if indeed there is a problem with my printer. I don’t know. I will continue to try some other use cases with the replacement roll and (who knows?) future experience might reveal what is truly happening. All I can say for now is If you do buy this product, experienced it clogging your hot end as I have, and found a work around, I’d be very interested in knowing what the solution turned out to be. …will update this if the Gold Silk printing issue is solved 🥴. Here is a quick update to the above write-up, many months later…. I have found a compromise in printing with this filament. Cura settings: temp <195, max speed= 12mm/sec., flow 97%, cool =100%, retract < 0.8mm (I realize this is painfully slow and stringing is a mess. But with some clean-up afterward it is probably worth the effort.). Here is my taco holder design printed with this filament.

Excellent product! I used this PLA to print some miniature cacti on our P2S. After the initial base was done, I increased the speed to the fastest setting which is called Ludacris and it’s still printed beautifully. The variation from green yellow to bright green is very beautiful and gives the pieces a more realistic coloration. No string stringing/webbing and no issues while printing. I’m super happy with this and I’m excited to try some of the other color variations from overture.

I picked up this Overture High Speed PLA Filament Refill to test how well a spoolless format could keep up with the intense speed and volumetric demands of my high-speed corexy printer. Standard PLA can easily suffer from cold under-extrusion and matte, brittle layer lines when pushed past 200mm/s. This specialized rapid formulation handles high-speed kinematics beautifully, yielding tough parts with an exceptionally consistent finish. Why this rapid refill is a massive win for high-volume printing: Exceptional Melt Flow Index: The thermal properties of this High Speed PLA are fantastic. It melts incredibly fast and fluidly inside the hotend, allowing me to push my volumetric flow rates up to 24–26 mm³/s in the slicer without encountering extruder skipping, clicking, or internal jams. Flawless Layer Adhesion at Speed: Often, rapid filaments sacrifice structural strength for melt speed, leading to brittle parts. This Overture blend maintains incredible interlayer bonding. Even when printing at 300mm/s, the layers fuse together beautifully with no structural compromises. Neat Tangle-Free Coiling: Refills can sometimes be a nightmare if the winding is sloppy. This coil is layered perfectly flat and tight. It unspools smoothly into the feed lines with zero snags or cross-over loops, which is critical for long, unattended production runs. Crucial Loading & Slicer Setup Tips: Lock the Master Spool Before Cutting: When sliding this refill onto a reusable plastic master spool, ensure the locking tabs of your spool are completely compressed, twisted, and clicked into place before you clip the plastic transit bands. Cutting the bands early will cause the core to unravel into an un-spoolable mess. My Settings: I achieved pristine surface results at a 220°C nozzle temperature (bumping it up 10°C over standard PLA gives the high-speed melt zone a bit more thermal overhead), a 55°C bed temperature on textured PEI, and maximum cooling fan speeds for sharp overhangs. In the end, this Overture High Speed Refill offers the perfect trifecta for a modern workshop: it lowers your cost per kilogram, slashes plastic spool waste, and easily keeps up with the screaming print speeds of modern high-speed machines. It is an exceptional engineering filament that has earned a permanent spot in my workshop rotation.

I have been very impressed with this OVERTURE High Speed PLA filament. The filament arrived neatly wound with no tangles, making it easy to load and print. I used it on my high-speed 3D printer, and it performed exceptionally well with smooth extrusion and consistent results. The print quality is excellent, with clean layers, strong adhesion, and minimal stringing. I especially appreciate how reliable it has been for printing functional items and detailed designs. Absolutely gorgeous filament. Very shiny when printed slow (20-30 mm/s). This particular print shown here (The Source by Luo Li Rong) showcases the Overture silk filament at its best. As usual, it has incredible consistency throughout the spool and between different spools.

Bambu Lab P1Sでテストプリントしてみました。 幅59ｍｍ、内径82mmのダンボールの芯に1kgのフィラメントが巻かれていて、総重量1,038gありました。 Refillなので詰め替え用のスプールが必要なのでご注意ください。 回り止め用の切り欠きは幅4mm×深さ6ｍｍありました。 箱のサイズが縦185mm×横185mm×高さ66mmと従来品よりも一回りい小さいので、保管時にも場所を取られにくくなっています。 タイムセールで1,499円+44ポイントで実質1,455円に満足です。 【ロイヤルゴールド】 巻きは綺麗でテストプリントの段階では絡まるような事はなかったですが、スプールのネジの締め具合が強かったのかフィラメントの供給に少しストレスがありました。(プリント中に緩めて改善) 色は濃い色のゴールドでツヤがあります。 純正のPEIプレートでΦ175mmの円盤をプリントしましたが、スティックのりなしでも反りがなくプリントすることができました。 室温30度の中、初期設定のノズル温度220度でベンチマークのプリントしましたが糸引きはわずかで満足いく仕上がりでした。 【オリーブグリーン】 巻きは綺麗なのですが、添付画像のように一部で崩れがありました。 工場で製造時にできた崩れというよりは、この炎天下の運搬中に熱による変形のような気がします。 テストプリントの段階では絡まるような事はなくスムーズにプリントできました。 色はツヤの少ないオリーブ色です。 純正のPEIプレートでベンチマークをプリントしましたが、スティックのりなしでスムーズプリントすることができ、プレートが冷めるまでしっかりと吸着してました。 室温30度の中、初期設定のノズル温度220度でベンチマークのプリントしましたが糸引きは全くなく、満足いく仕上がりでした。

リフィルタイプなので、普通のスプール付きフィラメントと違って、空きスプールなどに装填して使う手間はあります。ただ、実際に巻いてみると巻きはかなりきれいで、引き出す時に絡んだり引っかかったりすることもなく、問題なく使えました。 オリーブグリーンは派手すぎない落ち着いた色で、思っていたより使いやすいです。深みのあるグリーンなので、アウトドア用品っぽい小物や収納用品、ちょっと無骨な雰囲気のパーツにも合いそう。マットな質感を想像していましたが、実際には少し光沢があり、完全なマット仕上げではありません。光が当たるとほんのりツヤが出るので、そこは好みが分かれそうです。 PLAなので扱いやすく、普段PLAを使っている環境なら特に難しい感じもありません。自分のプリンターでは造形も問題なく、細かいパーツから実用品まで普通に出力できました。温度設定も商品記載の範囲で調整しやすいです。 リフィルなので最初のスプールへの装填は少し手間ですが、使い終わったスプールを再利用できるのはいいですね。3Dプリンターを使っていると空のスプールがどんどん増えていくので、それを再利用できるのは助かります。 リサイクル素材を50％使用したサステナブルな製品というのも好印象。スプールを使い回せることも含めて、無駄を減らせるのは嬉しいです。1kgで価格もそれほど高くなく、普段からPLAを使うならコスパも悪くないと思います。

同じシリーズのPLAフィラメントを2色使いましたが、どちらも巻きが非常に整っていて、プリント中の引っかかりや絡まりがなく安定した造形ができました。±0.02mmの高精度という説明どおり、層の乱れが少なく、細かなパーツでも綺麗に仕上がる印象でした。リフィルタイプなので手持ちのスプールにそのまま装着でき、ゴミが減らせる点も便利です。 セメントグレーは落ち着いたマット寄りの質感で、工業系のパーツやシンプルな小物にとても合う色味でした。表面が均一に出るので、後処理なしでも見栄えが良く、実用的な造形に向いていると感じました。反りも少なく扱いやすいフィラメントです。 ロイヤルゴールドは控えめな光沢が上品で、装飾パーツやアクセサリー系の造形に向いていました。派手すぎない落ち着いたゴールドなので、日常使いの小物にも合わせやすく、仕上がりが綺麗で満足度が高かったです。気泡もなく、表面が滑らかに出るのが好印象でした。 全体としては、精度・安定性・色味のバランスがとても良く、用途に合わせて色を選ぶ楽しさがあるシリーズでした。日常の造形から大型プロジェクトまで幅広く使える満足度の高いフィラメントです。

マットとまではいかないながら、落ち着いた雰囲気の仕上がり具合のフィラメント。オブジェにすると重厚感があり、ツール類でも違和感のない具合になります。糸ひきや出力の乱れはなく、オーバーハングも許容範囲の結果に落ち着いています。比較的大きめの出力でも反りや剥がれはなく、PLAらしい扱いやすいフィラメントです。 リフィルタイプということもあり、手頃な価格と安定した品質は気兼ねなく出力できるお手軽なフィラメントになります。 こちらは別色のオリーブグリーンのレビューになります。使用感はセメントグレーと同様で安定した出力、多少の糸引きはありますが光沢を抑えた落ち着いた仕上がりに。リフィルの手頃な価格なので手も出しやすいかと思います。スプールは別途必要になりますが、そこは3Dプリンターなので自前でスプールを出力することも可能。他の色合いも落ち着いた色合いが多く、つかいやすいフィラメントです。
