I don't know about that. It is an antiseptic mouthwash and helps with gum disease which causes receding gums so,I suppose it stops further receding but the dentist might help better with your question. Just to warn you it has a very clinical taste which I found not very pleasant to the mouth. Hope this helps.

Tastes pretty awful but it does the job of healing the gums and not blackening your teeth (like Corcidol which is also very good).
