Not wasting my money 🤑

it sounds pretty good up to about 3/4 volume
For a low budget soundbar purchased for my Mom, it sounds pretty good up to about 3/4 volume, and then becomes a bit muddled in sound thereafter, but not terrible. Best budget bar I've heard yet, though I've only heard a few low end units. Worth the buy for someone not an audiophile, or for a spare bedroom. Te true test is to see how long it stays working.

Broken Remote control. No replacement or after market available.
Works great. I bought 2 open box units for the price of one at a well known retailer. However, one remote did not work. I contacted Insignia and they do not have replacement ones and neither are there after market ones that work. However, as a courtesy, Insignia promptly sent me a remote from a different model without the sub woofer control as the only option. I not aware of a manual volume control for the woofer. So, if the remote quits working, you can't control woofer volume. But the sound quality is way far better than just the TV speakers.

Smart TV, stupid Soundbar
Smart TV, stupid Soundbar, doesn't integrate into TV at all, requires a separate remote. When you mute the TV it has no effect on the soundbar, you have to use the soundbar remote and mute it too. Doesn't mount to TV base, so it's worthless on a wall mount. Bass is worthless.

Good sound. Bad remote.
The sound is quite good for this price range. Set up was easy. The woofer offers good deep bass. I would have given this product four stars, but the remote is cheaply made and failed after a few months. There are controls on the side of the bar unit so I have to walk to the TV for every on/off or mode or volume change. And the woofer volume can only be controlled from the remote, which I can no longer do. I called Insignia and was told "Yes, we have had problems with that remote. Take the battery out and press each button twice, then put the battery back in." That worked once and never again. "Can I buy a new remote?" "Sorry, that remote is not sold separately." I called Best Buy (where I bought it) and got no satisfaction there either. I think I will give this to my grandson and buy the comparable Vizio product.
