How good is this with using a flat iron or blow drying thick to really thick hair straight? And is this company cruelty free? Thanks for your help!!!

I use this product on my after washing it with Naturally Straight shampoo and leave in conditioner. I applied it to blow dry and applied a little more when flat ironing. I was so surprised of the results. My hair was super easy to straighten and was soft and shiny. My hair is a little past my shoulders and I absolutely love the results.

Is it an overly greasy oil?

It is an oil and you don't need a lot but I don't think it is too greasy. I put it on my dry hair before straightening every day. I've also used it on wet hair before drying. I think it makes my hair softer and less frizzy.

Would this be good to put on my girls hair before swimming at the beach?

It's good oil takes like a pea size is all to rub in hair might be ok before beach if she has really dry hair.I love the smell of it and always loved seeing my mom use it,made her dry frizzy hair shine and take away her frizz.You could use before beach after beach or both!
