Great brand and easy to use

I ordered the first one and it arrived completely damaged and scratched. Everything was loose inside a box that smells terrible. The product itself is very flimsy. I thought it was used, so I requested a replacement. To my surprise, it came exactly the same: damaged and scratched. The seller must be picking this up in the trash and selling it. Be my guest if you want to see it for yourself, but I DO NOT recommend it. The seller should shut down because their business model doesn't work.

I got this to use on my small propane cooker, primarily for truck trips, I like it, it works well for making basic simple camp meals, 3/4 cups of rice and fish (tilapia from the pond) cut in small chunks with broccoli/ cauliflower cooked up in about 3mins. We have a bigger older pressure cooker we use often but its too big an heavy to take on road trips. Mind u its not something you would hook onto your pack for dismounted hikes but for truck camping and making meals in the barn it works great. The manual that comes with it is also impressive, very thorough with parts break down illustrations, detailed illustrated instructions and recipes, its all well articulated not like some of the poorly translated single page made in China instructions (honestly I rarely ever read instructions being a man :) this P cooker is worth if it for sure if you need to cook quickly using minor amounts of fuel. Just for giggles I used it on a rocket stove (solo cooker) yep it worked you have to be careful to balance it correctly and it can be frustrating too add fuel but it will work. Also works on camp white gas stoves and propane for those that are taking care of fundamental readiness preps. I did not experience any of the fouled vent issues and yea the pot changed color who cares its a pot, albeit a well manufactured piece of kit.

Very good pressure cooker for daily use: light, resistant and cooks fast. Perfect for 1-2 people and easy to clean. Highly recommended if you want efficient results without complications.

Worked fine initially, but does not close tight now and leaks.

I am very happy with this pressure cooker! Soaked peas/beans cook within 2 to 3 minutes after pressure builds. I've done red kidney beans (regular and small), chick peas, black beans, yellow split peas, and field peas (which are really beans). All dry. Soak peas/beans overnight with a pinch of baking soda. Put beans in cooker with the soaking water. The amount of water depends on how you're going to prepare the beans after pressure cooking. Fill to no more than halfway if the peas tend to foam (like split peas); up to two thirds with others like kidney beans. Put the lid on without the valve/weight. When it starts to boil (vapor and steam should be coming out of the center vent only and not around the edges. **If steam/vapor is coming out around the edges, turn flame off, remove cover, check that the seal is properly seated, and replace the cover.** Put the weight on, reduce flame to low (not as low as simmer) and set a timer (I use 1 and 1/2 minutes for small peas and 2 and 1/2 mins for larger ones like chick peas.) When the time is up, turn off flame and leave the cooker on the hot burner to cool down on its own. The beans will continue to cook. By the time it's cool enough to remove the weight and the cover, the beans are fully cooked. For the small cooker I have, that's about 12 minutes with a flame on. I've also cooked smoked pork neck bones in 20 mins vs the 40 mins and more that I saw in some recipes. I've seen at least one review complaining about having to stick the cover down into the cooker to open and cover it. With a few tries, I've managed to get it in at a minimal angle (see video. Sorry about the poor quality, I was recording with one hand and manipulating the cover with the other).

It cooks evenly and in no time

Great for small amounts of food. You may get a bit of a surprise first time you use it when the pressure valve blows off. This is natural and lets you know when to lower the temperature. The new style of valve doesn't rock like the old style. After a couple uses you will love it. Hawkins products are excellent quality.

3LT is a perfect size, good for 2 or more cups of dal...(i have only made two) but it's very good the only issue is that it stains very easily with haldi.
