I love my steamer. Never used one before but I do like random kitchen gadgets so I bought it to see if it was worth it and it was. I can steam fish and vegetables pretty well, the instruction leaflet has a short list of timings for different foods, and I've even boiled eggs. Only down side I've found is of you want to steam anything for under 5mins, white fish takes 4mins for example, the timer keeps going but the steamer just stops steaming so you have to put it on for longer then just turn it off at the socket when it's done it's 1-4mins. You also can't turn the timer back so if you go over the time you wanted you can't turn the timer back. Not sure how normal this is but you don't need the steamer to be plugged in for the timer to work so I assume of the timer breaks you either need a separate timer as the steamer only works once it's plugged in, or bin it and buy a new one. Not sure how I feel about it but I've had for a while and it works really well and I am enjoying fish more because it comes out beautifully every time. It does get stained, I've cooked carrots and i put curry powder on a piece of fish, but it's not too bad and it was bound to happen eventually. It's easy to clean and the dishes stack inside each other so it takes up less space than when you set it up, although the dishes balance on top of the base so if you're keeping it together then it will take up more space than you think.

Once I received my steamer I couldn't use it :( there was no Australian power adapter with this product. So I had to wait longer to use it while I now wait for an adapter to arrive. Not happy :(
