59 Illustrated National Parks - Hardcover: 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service

I purchased this for my son in law for Christmas. He and his wife have visited many of the N national Parks, especially out wet, where most of them are, and despite taking beautiful photos of their own, he requested this as a keepsake coffee table type book. Beside photographs, they are prints of nostalgic signs, interesting facts plus much much more. A great read and a must if you HAVE NOT been to any of the parks, for this book is comprehensive, colorful and will make you feel like you have gone, and/or really want to put many of these destinations on your "bucket list".

I love this book! I wasn’t looking for in-depth, descriptive details of each park but more a general description. I LOVE the photos. Overall, this book is gorgeous and a great memento of parks already visited, and I am making a list of more parks to visit. Thank you.

I saw this book when visiting a National Park out west and made the purchase. I enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to get more as gifts. The artwork is amazing, a retro feel and flavor. There is a map of the US that stars each park -- a great way to look at regional touring and visits. There is just enough content about the peach park to spark interest. A fabulous refence and a perfect gift for anyone with interest in the National Parks Systems.

Lovely book with old fashioned looking posters for ALL the National Parks. Many parks have more than one poster. There is at least one full page poster for each park. Lovingly created to look old fashioned they include the brief story of the park and how the posters are created by the design firm. Great coffee table book for those loving the National Parks!

I absolutely loved this book and its illustrations. We framed the national parks we’ve been to on a whole wall, and only wish some of the illustrations weren’t back-to-back - it makes it hard to choose which ones to frame! This book really highlights just how much natural beauty the US has to offer in an artistic way.

The book is very unique in its illustration of the parks in the style of old time posters such as WPA. Very nice narrative history and facts of the parks. Good quality construction throughout the book. I took off one star because of a fact that was not mentioned anywhere in the book description on Amazon or by any reviewer; the hardcover edition which I purchased does not come with a dust cover. After contacting the publisher I was told that was their intention as they felt the book did not need a dust cover. I respectfully disagree. I thought it was proper to let other prospective buyers know of this issue. It is still a very nice book as my title states.
