Worked in torrential(google it) rain
Worked well, folded well, fit well, did the job perfectly. Fit in my backpack and forgot I had it until it started to raind like there was no tomorrow. When I put this on and strolled back to the hotel where everyone was sheltering under the building structure, everyone exclaimed how impress they were that i had this. I could carry my pack, and carry on luggage no problem, both hands free. Messed up my hair a little because of the hood but much better than an umbrella which would have folded in torrential rain. Have not used as a camping tent yet, but feels durable enough. 10 out of 10 in my book. Also liked that this had a logo, when the competition doesn't advertise itself.

Love the visor and the sleeves
I had the oppotunity to test mine out the day after I received it, needing to drive a golf cart in wind driven pour rain for two hours. The size was generous enough to cover my legs and enough of the seat so I remained dry. Being able to velcro sleeves into it made it cover my arms well and the visor is a huge bonus if you wear glasses. Baased on my first use I am giving it a 5.

Good poncho
I'm liking this poncho. It's roomy enough so you can wear a backpack under it. It's thin making it lightweight, which is nice when it's hot outside. I love the carrying case because it fits well in my small backpack that I use on a daily basis when I go to work. I'm loving the style and my wife says it looks good on me. So why 4 stars? If you're old enough to remember how "easy" it was to correctly fold a driving map, then you'll "appreciate" folding this so that it fits into the carrying case. Yes, it's a challenge at first. But just like map folding, once you get the hang of it, it's not that bad. The other issue is if you open it up to use as a spread to sit on the ground, I found it challenging to match up the velcro straps so it works like a poncho again. But it's a minor issue that just comes with practice going from blanket to poncho.

covers the backpack - ideal for hiking in the rain
My husband and I took these on a long distance hiking trip and found them very useful in the occasional downpour. They are long enough to protect not just your backpack, but the majority of your pants (depending on your height) from getting wet. The package is not insignificant in size, so it will take up room in your pack, but if you are going somewhere where you expect rain, I think it is worth bringing.

Fantastic!
MUCH better quality than other military style ponchos in this price range that I tried from Amazon. Highlights: Polyester rather than polyamide, Velcro instead of snaps, Sleeve extensions (what a unique and ingenious design!) , and the digital camo pattern looks great in the high desert! Only complaints are the eyelets, which I'm not a fan of as they are a weak method of tying out a tarp/poncho (I've removed them and stitched on webbing loops) , and the white logo is a major eye sore on a camo pattern (I've covered up with a black marker).

Great Poncho!
Hiked the Camino this summer. Was perfect. Fit well over our backpacks, light, and kept us dry. I also had a rain coat but never wore because this Pancho worked so well. I am 5'11" and wife 5'0". Worked great.

A must for anyone hiking in the rain
It appears to cover much of the body without reaching one's feet to trip them up. It looks to fit well over one's backpack also. In a pinch, one could use it as a tent...

It's Not Waterproof
Bought this poncho specifically for the Camino de Santiago-Frances. Lightweight, fits over my backpack - great. Not so much. It handles short drizzles and works great as a wind protector. But this morning I left Cee at 8:30 a.m. in torrential rain and strong winds. By the time I arrived in Finisterre I was totally drenched. It was not perspiration. The outside of my backpack was soaked, my fanny pack almost wring-able. It works fine for milder conditions but not for heavy duty.

Good however there could be a better system.
Performed really well in the rain and kept me nice and dry. Having this as an adjustable poncho really made it hard to use as I had to put it on and if your not using a back pack it is very uneven and nearly requires a belt coz the bottom Velcro doesn’t line up. even when the Velcro does work it becomes disconnected easily.

Too narrow
If you’re small, this might be a good poncho. I got the xl for me (6ft) and it only just fits my small girlfriend. The arm length is just way too short.

Bastante grande
Buscaba algo que me cubriera bien y no decepcionó, justo el día que llego llovió fuerte. Desde esa vez lo cargo siempre en la mochila en temporadas de lluvias

BE PREPARED
as any Scout would tell you be prepared this one is great light weight easy fit the back pack when out hiking. Can also be used for emergency sunshade and distress signal if lost wave it around or use a marker for searchers to see you.
