Attractive & well made single brew
I needed a replacement coffee maker and decided to go with just a single serve one instead of my Cuisinart duo .I realized I used the single much more and rarely used the full pot. I'm glad I did . This single serve has met my expectations. I didn't care for the cheap "well known" brand having used one at work. This one is more $$ but so far worth it. Looks much nicer on my counter and makes a great cup of coffee! It takes only a minute and you can regulate how "HOT" you want your brew. A great option. A little growl sound when it starts to brew but so not a big deal.

The absolute BEST k-cup coffeemaker!!
The BEST coffeemaker ever! We have had ours for SIX YEARS so far, and it still runs like a champ. Keurigs are garbage in comparison.....our household went through a Keurig every 1-2 years (purchased 3 Keurigs before we had it with their trash and tried this Cuisinart), and here we are 6 years later with the same Cuisinart. I don't understand reviews claiming it stops working and that it's a frequently returned item as it's the best FAST coffeemaker we have ever owned. Gets used daily, multiple times per day (household of 6 before, now 5 as kids grow up). You will not be disappointed with this machine!

THE BEST CUP OF COFFEE IN ONE MINUTE
Approximately 12 years ago before the Christmas holidays, Keurig flooded the TV air waves with commercials for their new K cup pod coffee maker that quickly brewed one cup of coffee. I liked the concept but never heard of Keurig and had no idea who they were or if they were a legitimate company or merely a scam so I didn’t buy their coffee maker. On January 5, 2011 I was shopping in Costco and saw a Cuisinart K cup coffee maker. Having a Cuisinart food processor, can opener, toaster and conventional coffee maker I was familiar with the company and the fine quality of their products. It used the K pods that the other company’s coffee maker used. It was love at first site and I bought the Cuisinart SS780PC coffee maker for $164.99. I loved that coffee maker and used her to pleasure myself every day and some days two, three and more times a day. We’ll here it is 11+ years later and she started to wear out from old age. The pump was sluggish and would no longer pump out a full 12 ounce mug of coffee. I sip and savor every one of those perfectly brewed 12 ounces of coffee. So I felt let me buy the current Cuisinart replacement for the model SS780PC I presently had and I went directly to Amazon and found the SS10 Cuisinart coffee maker and bought it immediately for $139.95. I was impressed with the voluminous number of 5 star reviews and I never pay any mind to an occasional 1 or 2 star review. Negative people write negative reviews and attempt to punish the manufacturer for mishaps caused by their own ignorance. Case in point splashing on the counter top. Possibly Sir Issac Newton could explain it better but if common sense prevailed there would be no splashing on the counter top. When a liquid drips from a higher point down to a standing liquid at a lower point the drops that are standing will splash up from being hit by the falling drops from above, especially if you use a shallow low sided tea cup. If a couple drops splash wipe it up with a paper towel, it’s not the fault of Cuisinart and it’s no big deal. Certainly not rocket science but basic rules of gravity. This new model does not have the blue light illuminatIng the water reservoir when water is low and has two heat settings HOT and VERY HOT rather than multiple degree settings. The engineers at Cuisinart realized these two features are not critical and designed a much better coffee maker for a $25 lower price eleven years after their original model was manufactured I loved my SS780PC but will have a torrid romance with this SS10. It is well designed and attractive, aesthetically adds to the beauty of my custom designed and handsomely decorated gourmet kitchen. I turn it on and immediately the open head icon illuminates, I put in a K pod and in less than one minute I’m sipping a 12 ounce mug of freshly brewed delicious and satisfying coffee. On top of that Cuisinart gives you a three year warranty. Talk about a manufacturer having faith in their product’s quality. I’m so glad I was skeptical years ago and never bought a Keurig. My old Cuisinart gave me 11 years of faithful service and I’m looking forward to a very long and enjoyable relationship with my new SS10. If you’re looking to buy a K pod single serve coffee brewer, don’t waste any more time looking. BUY this one it looks great, represents EXCELLENT VALUE, will brew you an EXCELLENT CUP OF COFFEE in a minute, is covered by Cuisinart’s 3 year warranty and Amazon will deliver it to your front door. GREAT PRICE, GREAT VALUE, GREAT SERVICE who could ask for more.

Cuisinart strikes again!
I had high hopes for this Cuisinart product, however as most Cuisinart products we have purchased lately, it has failed to live up to its name. We purchased this product to replace its predecessor, the SS-700, we had for 4 years. The SS-700 brewed a single cup of coffee very quickly, but after 4 years the heating element did itself in. Cuisinart, undoubtedly, realized the problem with the SS-700, thus the SS-10 was born. While the concept seemed to work great at first, it seems that these units are made with cheaper, more faulty components, as well. We purchased the SS-10 in the beginning of October 2016. By the beginning of May 2017, it had started showing signs of faulty workmanship in the components. Now, I have followed the regular maintenance of the descaling cycle using white distilled vinegar, but that apparently wasn't enough to keep this product alive. By early May, it started showing signs of decline as it would take a very long time to brew a cup of coffee. It seemed that the length of time kept growing over the next month, even after running seven descale processes through it in a four week period. Finally, I had to breakdown and call Cuisinart when I got the dreaded "EEO" code. Their initial response was "to unplug the unit for at least an hour and a half to reset the unit," which we did. Immediately, the unit displayed "EEO" again on the next attempted brew. So, again with the phone call to customer service. This time they issued me a service number, a call tag for the faulty unit and said a new unit would be shipped to me. Hurray, I thought. Only, after two and a half weeks went by with no new coffee maker on my front porch, I began to wonder what was happening. I called again, only to find out that the units were on back-order. They could not tell me when they would ship again, and that it could take another 3-4 weeks. Oh well, I thought. Then to my surprise, a week and a half later the new unit was sitting on my doorstep! It was a Friday gift! What a way to go into the weekend! The next morning, I got up and set up the unit, following the set up instructions provided in the box. Only this time, when getting to step 6 (the part about brewing 8 oz of water to flush the system) nothing happened. No pump running sound. Not a drop of water moving. Then the error code "EEO." I thought, maybe the reservoir isn't seated correctly. So, I lifted it, and set it down and watched to make sure the gasket actually lifted from the pass thru channel, and tried again. Still nothing, just "EEO." I turned it off, back on, tried again. Still nothing. I unplugged it, waited for a couple of hours, tried again and nothing. "EEO." So, I called customer service again. They said that I would have to try to brew a cup several times before it might start working. I informed them that I had tried at least 7 or 8 times, and still nothing except the error code. So, they said they would ship me a new unit. However, they were on back-order again! So, I politely asked if I could just get a refund. The lady, as helpful as she could be, said that Cuisinart's policy is that they do not issue refunds. I asked, what would happen if the next unit was also faulty? How many times do we have to do this with a clearly, defective appliance? She informed me that after 3 or more attempts to replace the unit, we could issue a LETTER requesting a CREDIT from Cuisinart, which we can use to buy another Cuisinart product. As a consumer, I find this to be not helpful. If I do not want their product anymore, I must resign myself to the fact that they got my money, and I got a piece of junk in return. They win, I lose. I know this, after this experience and my last experience with a Cuisinart blender (don't get me started on that), I will NEVER buy a Cuisinart product again. I urge anyone reading this to second guess themselves before purchasing a Cuisinart product, as well. They used to be one of the greats. Now, they are just out to sell an inferior product over and over to claim as much of the market share they can get their hands on. What ever happened to quality products? What ever happened to quality workmanship? Sorry, Cuisinart, but you've joined the ranks of the marginally mediocre. Good work! I hope you're proud of your achievements. You've made it to the bottom with the rest of the world of product producers.

I have been a die hard keurig fan but they keep breaking down. This coffee pot is easy to use, seems reliable so far and I love it. The rinse button works great after making many cups of coffee and the hot water runs clear to make just hot water. It's louder and slower than the keurig BUT, it's making a much better cup of coffee. I hope to update in 6 months and still be happy
