Connects like a dreamโฆ
I installed this cable on my 17' fishing boat so that I could have one Lowrance HDS unit on the steering console, and another on the bow of the boat. After fighting the boat for a few hours (it did not want another cable installed, or was it that I didnโt want to cram my arms and hands into the tightest areas of the boat?) I connected the two units and they work seamlessly. One note about my installation: the cable hole in my dash was not big enough to fit another connector through it. I didn't want to drill another hole in my dash just for one additional cable, so I cut the cable and fed the cut end through the existing hole in my dash. Then I spliced it together with conventional connectors. I was concerned about how well it would work after doing that, but it turned out to work perfectly. I am not saying this is something you should do, I'm just pointing out that it is possible in tight situations. Your results may vary.

rear transducers working on the front deck.
Nmea 2000 cable does not share transducer info. this cable is required to use any transducer that works on both Gen 3 units.

Solid product
Great product...the answer to my data sharing between Lowrance chartplotter HDS Gen 2 Touch units. I find all Lowrance products above standard. VERY IMPORTANT: measure the exact route this cable will take from one area to the next before you order. You may find that you will need the longer length size.
