Great sounding cymbals for the price.
Very well made. These cymbals have a nice tone to them. They're certainly not the top of the line, as cymbals go, but they're far from entry level. These are certainly intermediate, to entry pro grade. The crash cymbals are much thicker than the crummy bits of pressed bronze that came with my drum kit. The 18" crash can also be used as a ride. For that matter, the 14" crash doesn't make a bad ride either. The bell section of these crashes has a nice ring to them. There's a definite difference in tone between body (arch), and edge of the cymbals. The hi-hats are nicely made too. However, I did notice that this set is comprised of equally weighted upper, and lower hi-hats. About the only problem I noticed was the plastic shipping bolt that was supposed to keep all cymbals together in their container had broken, and the cymbals were loose, and free to slide about during shipping. I did not notice any damage, however. The cymbals were interleaved with sheets of plastic which protected them from grinding on each other in transit. I had a professional drummer in the studio, and he said they sounded great.

Not a fan of hi-hats, but good value overall
If you need a set of cymbals for not much money, the brass set is good. Crash/ride and the bonus crash sound just fine. Hi-hats have bothered me since I bought the set. They just don't sound very musical. That said, I'd buy the set again. This gives you something to beat on, and you will have a better idea of what you like after playing for a while. Then you can buy a nicer set. Or keep these if you like them. They hold up well.

Awesome upgrade for a starter kit
I got these to upgrade the cymbals that came with my starter kit, and if that's what you compare these cymbals to they sound phenomenal. They are a fair amount heavier duty and more aesthetically polished than my starter cymbals, and to be honest even the crash cymbal is more suited to being a ride than the starter ride my kit came with. Price wise, the crash cymbal really does make this a good value, because you will spend 80 bucks each for the same/comparable hi hat, ride, and crash purchased separately. So at around 150, the crash cymbal in this pack truly is thrown in for free. I'll be honest though. These cymbals sound beautiful as I can hope for, and I can't mark them down in any way... But the crash is so pristine sounding that I want to get more cymbal stands to keep my "trashy" sounding starter cymbals as additional crashes for when I really just wanna slam into a cymbal.

Unbelievable product for the money!
I've been playing drums since 1980, and my day job is a quality-assurance manager. I've bought and tried many brands of cymbals over the years and have to say this combo pack is a very usable, especially for the money. The hihats sound excellent and the crash/ride is the best one I've ever heard. You could get away with just using the one cymbal for ride and crash. Amazing. It's perfect for a beginner or practice set, but you could slip them into a stage setup and get away with it. It's the best value I've ever seen for cymbals in my 40 years of drumming. Would highly recommend.

High hats have a flatness to them not great sustain but an evenness for jazz or lite blues ...
High hats have a flatness to them not great sustain but an evenness for jazz or lite blues sound , the 14 inch crash has little to no sustain bright and even sound , but the bell is flat the 18 inch also is not tone quality mimics the rest of the set bit flat on sustain but like i said if your playing basement or small clubs i think this is a suitable cymbal set little to no lingering sustain is sometime a good quality for drummers and audiences PRETTY GOOD BUY FOR THE QUALITY

Great cymbals
These are great cymbals and for the price you can't go wrong. I have used the other brands for forty plus years and I was very impressed with the quality of these cymbals. These are great for beginners, for that extra set or for old timers that just want to play again but don't want to dish out a lot of cash. These are very good cymbals, I am very pleased with them.

The hi hat sounds really good along with the crash-ride and crash cymbals
The hi hat sounds really good along with the crash-ride and crash cymbals. They sound really good for their price. I had really bad cymbals and these sound way better than my old ones. My dad and I bought these cymbals and it was a great choice (not a waste of my money). If you're looking for cheap good cymbals these are them. The shipping was really, really fast. The shipping took 3 days.
