As packaged and laying down, the coiled section is about 16” with one whip end about 18” and the other 6-8”. If you hang it, under its own weight, it will sag a total of about 9’ from end to end.

does hose stay tightly coiled when not in use? limited space issue.

Yes it stays coiled like you see in the picture here. I leave mine attached to this small compressor I have and it works great.
